[Resolved]  Tata Sky — Tata Sky Subscription Fraud

While subscribing for a yearly HD package from Tata Sky, we were promised ALL future HD channels will be added in the subscription for FREE. The package consists of all channels available under Tata Sky. However, once the new channel 'Star World Premiere' was added under new HD channels, they denied the request by stating that the new channel was under a different package. I feel like this is a fraudulent scenario since Tata Sky could create new packages every time a new HD channel is launched just to deny their customers the service they were promised in an attempt to charge them more than they have already paid. The customer relationship adviser was extremely rude to me when I spoke to him about the promise Tata Sky had made. He insisted that I have to pay for it even though I am a longtime customer. The payment is 60 rupees per month and 500 rupees per year. Till date, we haven't received a single additional HD channel since we started the subscription even though the representative promised 26 additional HD channels in June. I really hope action is taken against them and that this issue is rectified!

Heard Videocon D2H was providing Star World Premiere HD free for its Platinum HD subscribers but it was only a 3 days free preview. Videocon D2H is also charging Rs. 60pm and Rs. 500 annually for Star World Premiere HD. I won’t be surprised if Airtel Digital TV charges the same. I think the price of Star World Premiere HD is going to be same across DTH platforms. So I think the charge must be from the channel’s side and not from the DTH providers.
