[Resolved]  Taxi Fare — MH-01-PA-9450: Taxi driver cheating saying base fare is raised after strike

Hi,

Please note that today(25-July-2010) one of the Taxi driver of vehicle MH01 AM 9450(make: Maruti WagonR) took extra money from me saying that taxi fare is increased after the recent strike & his meter is not corrected as yet. Meter was showing 38/- for the fare from dadar to sion, but he charged me 40/- saying that base fare is increased by 2/- after the recent strike & new fare starts from 16/- instead of 14/-. I tried arguing with him saying that nothing is announced as such, but as I was not sure & getting late for work, so I paid him the money he demanded. Later on I found that guy cheated me & base fare of Taxi is not increased as yet. Luckily I quickly noted his number before leaving that place.
I want strict action should be taken against this taxi driver who cheats city commuters.
