I had also received the Email stating that I have won the prize for this year:

The Board of Directors, members of staff and the International Awareness Promotion Department of the BMW Automobile Company, wishes to congratulate you on your success as the STAR PRIZE WINNER in this years' BMW Automobile International Awareness Promotion (IAP) held on 0n 27th August 2007, in London, England.

The selection process was carried out through random selection in our Computerized Email Selection System (C.E.S.S.) from a database of over a million email addresses from the world wide web. Each email address was attached to a ticket number and your email address with ticket number:[protected] and serial number: BMWP/[protected] was randomly selected as the star prize winner amongst other consolation prize winners.

But to contact them they have provided wrong or nonworking Email i.e. [protected]@yahoo.co.uk

This is a total disgrace to the public, this brings down the reputation of the BMW automobile company. We will even try to sue people who has done this very soon.

This scam is still alive and well .. I got my winning email just today 9/7/07

i too received a fake email, ref. bmw[protected]/23 from noreplybmw.[protected]@comcast.net,referring me to- claims manager mr. greg wills, email [protected]@hotmail.com , prizes ,bmw 5 series 55o m sport sedan,warranted and insured for 1 year; 450,000 gbp; randomily selected by computerizd email selection system [CESS] ticket #[protected] ; engr. cornejo isoulath dir. of promos., London England. 'mr wills will assist and fascillate the urgent release of my prizes if i send him my name ,add.etc. this is the highlights, you know the rest of the story. these terrorists are targetting private citizens ,WHY aren't the officials of these various countries stopping them?

Well duh. No one wins the lottery on an email. Some people are so incredibly stupid.
