We had to withdraw our child from Mothers pride just 2 days after the enrolment, as we did not like the atmosphere. I myself has seen their maid scolding and showing slap to these two and half yrs old children including my own son in a branch near galleria market. On our repeated requests and calls they took complete 1 year to refund Rs 15000 that they had initially deposited.
So guys this is mothers pride!!!

My son was going to Mothers pride Dwarka Sec 6 branch last year. Nothing exceptional about the school and saw no exceptional performance from my child, though my child never complained about going to school.
Teachers always mentioned that he needs improvement in letter recognition, despite him knowing this since age of 2. Later on we figured out that his eye sight was very poor. Teacher's inexperience in noticing this was evident.
In july/Sep last year, the counsellor/teachers were behind our lives to deposit the advance of 35, 000 to secure seat for our child in Presidium dwarka. Since Delhi admissions are based on luck only and we were not sure if we will secure any seat in lotteries, we deposited the amount. It was to be discovered later that it is illegal for any school under DoE to demand such booking advance as all nursery seats are to be allotted basis lottery only. We then figured out that Presidium Sector 22 branch is not recognized and Mothers pride do not fall under DoE jurisdiction as it is just a play school (and not a formal school).
1 Mar 2013, we asked for refund from the school. We were told that TAT is 3 months for the refund. We started following up before end of June only, till date only 25000 is paid - that too after 5-6 visits to the school. The school is blaming it all on vacations. And told me that I might have paid 25000 only, that is why HO has sent this much. Later on, after much insistence they checked their records and told me that yes, they are due with 10000 - dues. If the school has been honest, they wouldnt be charging different amounts from diff parents at first. Secondly, the school was well aware of original amount and did not pay in full. Because if they had really thought that 25000 was due, they would have refunded 25000- dues. A full payment of 25000 indicates school's unwillingness to pay back parent's dues and misguide them by saying things like maa'm you would have paid only this much.
It is about four and half months past and part refund is still pending.
All in all, totally disappointed with the way of working despite calling themselves a corporate school. Totally unacceptable way of working and mothers pride seems like a money making racket in name of quality education.

Anjali
