[Resolved] Theft, Rape, Snatching — Theft and Snatching near Alpine Eco Apartments

Hi Sir, I am a resident of Alpine eco apatments, in doddenkkundi, outer ring road, Bangalore. There have been a number of instances of theft, Snatching, rape near the Railway track that passes from that area. A gang of 5 to 6 people stop passer by on bike, cycle, car and snatch everything from them. recently my cook was subjected to such an incident. we came to know of incidents where a girl was raped at 4 PM while she was returning from school and walking back home. There has been instances where another resident of Alpine eco was asked to stop his car and looted of all his possessions. There is no police surveillance in this area. Also on the service lane we see something like a red light area, where a lot of bisexual people stand daily. I just came across this thread. We are shifting to bangalore and considering this place..The area still looks eerie even at 3 pm.I was wondering how safe it is for women/senior citizens.
How is the bus situation.

Alpine Eco — Security of Life

Hello Sir,

I am one of Flat owner staying at Alpine Eco Doddanekundhi Apartments and I am worried about Life security here in my Society, It was an horrible scene which I have witnessed on 20/7/12 where a Flat was completely under Fire, Flat number is 1003 which is in 10th Floor, C-1 Wing. With an immediate action while Flat was on Fire with the help of neighbours we could say as much we can however there was a great loss of property.
Fire situation started with 1 Diya used in Pooja Table and with strong wind blow on 10th floor it caught fire immediately and there was a chaos unfortunately there was no Fire Alarm working neither any of the Fire Extinguisher was functional and all we could do to stop fire was to use water buckets, Thanks to neighbours who came in right time. Fire Brigade and Police did arrive at venue as soon as they could however my concern is with Society and the active Fire Protection Device which they provide or I would say device's which don't work. If devices would have been working it would have not been a Big loss, My concern is with Human Life which is in danger due to society Irresponsibility and poor material used in construction also there is Lift which goes Bad almost every day but there is no permanent Fix towards lift issue, I am worried of those children who are just 10 years old and uses lift everyday without there parents and I am worried if they are caught some time in situation where lift doesn't work and I am sure Lift alarm would also not work.....

There is also a Society committee formed but I think they are more busy with Water supply issue so as swimming pool has enough water and how good Club house could be used rather then making frequent check on safety devices. Fire Incident has happened to my neighbour in middle of day but I am worried if it happens to some one else and that too in odd timing, will he/she be able to protect there family member with NON-Functional safety Devices??
