[Resolved]  Time Of India Offer And Shopping (Shopping. Indiatimes.com) — Cheated in the name of offer

I went for the Time of India readers offer during Diwali season 2009 for a car music player (Rs.999) + a Rs.1000/- which I can redeem for any item( thats the person confirmed me when I bough this over phone)
He also asked me to go a book membership offer (Rs.500 for membership + Rs.500 online-voichers which I can use to buy *anything* on indiatimes shopping)

To my surprise, I only received the product and noticed that the quality is so poor( so even if I excuse this), the complaint which I am bringing out here - is that they did not send the Gift-vouchers for more than 1.5 months and after repeated calling they gave me the coupons ( and still have not received the Book club membership login detaills ), but alas - these coupons of worth Rs.1500/- is not something like what they told (purchase anything online) - they have a dedicated select items and the coupons are valid only for them !! ( and you know - all these items are Rs.10000+ !!! ) ...You can imagine the way people get cheated by offering worthless product and forcing you to buy more worthless things. This will be my first and last trial with Time of India readers offer or shopping.indiatimes.com .. Will never ever try this out.

Just bringing it out here - so that people are cautious about such cheating, and don't get carried-away by the offers and mention they make.
In my opinion , futurebazaar.com is far far better and I would purchased around Rs.20K worth of stuffs online over a period of time and have never faced such issues.

You are absolutely right Sir,
I was purchased a wonder dicer Dt.19/10/09.The India times mention in Dewali ad Rs. 500/ gift coupon give me .But when I receive a delivery .They don't send me any coupon.I send a complaint many times to cust. care, But they don't listen to me.

EXACT same problem of book club membership and gift coupon. But i've learnt my lesson.
I have prchased one spy pen camera in the diwali offer and I am not able to understand kindly look forward sending me an manual / cd of the product and I am not able to encash the gift cheque which u have send me through mail i want to use my gift cheque to buy another syp pen camera of newer version of gold pointer and fully single colour pen with any good offer

My self Sunil Kumar. I have recently booked a order after saw the datawind ads on B4U channel. In that offer datawind promise me to give Scratch card but I didn't received any scratch card with tablet. No one is picking the call and If call connected after long wait they disconnect call without any information. I received faulty keypad case for the same I raise a ticket on datawind portal. ticket no is- GL0215HR[protected], Datawind is worst Company in the World.

Cheapest Customer care and their response.

Please avoid to purchase online from Datawind Tablets.
