Problems with Videocon V1675 DualSim Mobile:

1. Poor Interface : The GUI of the V1675 handset appears not that good.

2. Poor Connectivity: This dual sim handset freequently goes into Emergency mode and one of the sim shows as Invalid Sim. It needs device re-start to get rid of this problem.

3. Poor Standby: The handset doesn't standsby for more than one day and charging of the handset also takes very long time to get it completely charged (nearly upto 7to8 hours).

4. Heavy Weight: Weight of the handset seems to be moderately heavy when compared to other handsets of different manufacturers.

5. Poor Response: The handset response to the user actions appears to be slow (Device Unlocks is not that dynamic).

6. Poor Quality: The handset appears to not completely passed the Quality check and doesnt meet respective quality standards.

Some of the Bugs I found are...

1. Device sound clarity is very poor for FM Radio
2. Message inbox list can't accommodate display for more than two messages in one show and 3/4th of the screen occupies to show up the metadata of the respective message only rather than listing adequate message titles.
3. If the user sets an alarm, then the alarm text overlaps with the Date&Time info of the device header. The text overlapping on the device appears to be very awkward while alarm is ringing.
4. Message Inbox shows wrong alerts of sender's identity (Let say, the user 'X' receives a message from sender 'Z' while he is reading the message of sender 'Y'. But, the message alert shows up wrongly on the device as it has been arrived from Sender 'Y' instead of Sender 'Z' which seems to be an act of confusing the user.

Because of these many active bugs in the handset and poor quality, I would not recommend anybody to go for this mobile handset to buy. Go for any other branded mobile handset which has passed complete quality check.

Videocon, Mobile Handset no.-V1655 — Not getting my mobile replaced

Dear SIr/Madam,
This is to inform you that i've bought a Mobile Handset of Videocon on 13/3/2010.
From the very first day i was facing the problem in using the handset. when i went to authorised service center of Videocon , they told me that your handset would be replaced & you would get the handset within 3 days, but it is almost a week, i am not getting my handset replaced, also i am not getting the satisfactory feedback from there side. So i request you to kindly look into the matter & resolve my problem as soon as possible .

videocon Mobile Handset — Poor quality of Video Code Mobile handsets

Dear Sir,

I have purcahsed Videocon Mobile handset VC 1425 triple SIM Model of Videocom. I am facing problem this handset for disconnection of CDMA SIM. I called their customer support they asked me to go to Accel frontlie, support centre at Nehru place, New Delhi. This support centre looks like fish market and I think after getting token you it will take more than 3 to 4 hours for someone to attend your complaint.

My reqeust to all of you to Think before buying these type of Mobile hand set of poor quality and very bad support.

I am going to throw this handset in river Yamuna and if you buy are you going to do same?

The handset doesn't allow to use headphones handsfree while the device is getting charge.

I can't use my headphones to listen songs while the handset is getting charged. The device headphones slot doesn't allow the user to avail this dual benifit of charging handset and using headphones simultaneously.

Videocon V1675 mobile — Network, sound & other problems

I had purchase v1675 mobile on 28/6/10, but i am facing flowing problems.

1. network problem
2. battery backup
3.FM Problem
4 voice setting problem
5. Voice is too low

Its irritating me. I bought mobile only because o[censored]r reputation. It should not have happened. I want an answer.

I am 100% agree with all bugs mentioned above.

I purchased new V1675 & after inserting my Vodafone SIM I instantly observed that phone is creating lot of problems on making the calls, showing NETWORK FAIL, UNABLE TO CONNECT etc, while on receiving no doubt it is 100% BAD handset, people making the calls & my phone showing full signals even call is not completed, saying CALL NOT BE COMPLETED.

and what I tell about customer care ...its unbelievable, You must try NO ONE WILL PICK.

I am also recommending that please do not purchase this phone.

Videocon Mobiles — Quality of Mobile Handset

Dear Sir,

Undersigned Mr.Divyesh Mehta purchased a Videocon Mobile Model No.V1655 from Baroda Store on dated 22.04.2010.

After use of 3-4 month having a problem of touch screen.
Visited the Videocon Authorised service Center at Baroda Name: Accel frontline Services Ltd.Baroda.

Mobile was inspected by the service engineer on 09.08.2010 and asked me that Touch screen panel to be replaced on chargable basis. Accepted the same for paying the cost of the part to be replaced. Informed me that we have to call the part from the Videocon company as the same is not available with him.
They have created the JOB Card and the No. is BRD-VG[protected]DW dtd.09.08.10

Called the customer call center on 16.08.10 and they have given the Complaint No.MAM[protected]IB since the part was not delivered at their Service center till date and Mobile was not repaired.

Keep on calling to the customer call center and always getting the reply to wait for 72 Hrs, we are in the process of your complaint.

If the company like Videocon is launching a Mobile phone and the parts are not availble with him after 15 days time, than Govt.of India should take a action against him.

I have heared that minimum spare parts are to be maintained by the manufacturer.

Please book my complaint against the Videocon Company and revert back if you need any further details

I HV ALSO USED THIS BUT AFTER 3 MONTH THIS DEVICE DOES NOT SHOW DRIVES IN ANY COMPUTER AND CHARGING TAKES MORE THAN 7-8 HOURS, DISCHARGE WITH IN 1 DAY IN STANDBY, CAMERA OR USING MULTIMEDIA BATTERY WAS FUSSSSS...

videocon Mobile Handset — Misselling of Videocon Mobile By Planet M

Dear Sir,

I have purchased a new Videocon dual sim handset model V1612 from one of your dealer Planet M Retail Ltd-New Market on 12th May'11.(Invoice attached).
During my queries once reached there I specifically asked the sales personnel of the counterIf this phone will work as modem or not as I need to connect it with my PC/Laptop at home. I was ensured with a positive response.
I even asked him to provide me Nokia C2-01 which works as modem but he told that there is some software problem with that set.

After reaching home I found there was nosoftwareCDin the boxpack.I immediately called up at the store & they told that they will not be able to provide it as it's not part of standard accessories.
As a result,this phone is simply of no use for me at present & I have asked for a replacement there.However, they confirmed to pay me INR1000 against this which even not used so far..!! Although it has been mentioned at your bill that " Products can be exchange in undamaged , unused and saleable condition with in 7 days from the date of purchase".

We understand that the percentages of sales commissionmay bequite higher for these stores on videocon/other newly launched handsets comparison to other leading manufacturers like Nokia/Samsung but this kind of approaches/misselling is not expected at allfrom the sales personnels sitting in such a prestigious store(belongs to Videocon group). In this way,this kind of sales personnels will only help you to lose customers day by day.
I want toreplace the said handset from the store immediately against a new Nokia phone on higher range.
Looking forward your positive response.
