2 , (Your account has been refilled successfully by INR 1.22. Your Vodafone prepaid account balance is Rs 0.14. Your Transaction ID is KK[protected].) - I got this message on April 09 2011 at 6:02 pm.

3 , I lodged a complaint with vodafone on 14 april at 7:36 pm complaining about the recharge balance of 14 PAISA. And they gave me a complaint registration number - (Hello! Your service registration number is [protected]. We shall respond to your query by Friday 15-Apr-11 06:00p.m.)

4 , I got this one more message - (Congratulation! You have got free talk time worth Rs 14 credited on[protected] to your Vodafone Prepaid Mobile. Happy Talking.)

This is what pissed me off , RECHARGED FOR 202 RUPEES AND GOT 14 RUPEES.

Well my problem is till today i have not received the rupees that was promised me. and today my balance is 8.04 paisa.

I would like to see some action taken on these cheaters , imagine cheating a million people is equal to a profit of 2 crores,!

please please look into the matter, I have the messages and necessary proof to bring these thieves to justice.

thanks to whoever is bold enough to take action.

    On 23rd April 2011 two employees carrying Vodafone ID cards came to our house from the nearby Vodafone gallery and started explaining various pre paid schemes. they took 600/- from us and gave us the attached recipt
    When we didn't get the recharge as was explained to us we went to Vodafone gallery in J.B. Nagar Andheri east, But nobody was ready to listen our complaint and infact they didn't allow us to meet the Branch manager also
    Can somebody help us out to catch the employees so they do not cheat anybody else
    I have rechared mobile No.[protected] at Rs.331.00 on date[protected] for 5.30 pm..But I did not receive recharge value (i.e Rs.331/-) transction is [protected] IG48899545 transfer to a/c no.[protected], INB Times of Money Limted.       Sir, I had availed new Vodafone 3G USB stick (postpaid), for 3G broadband usage (no.[protected]). I selected plan which showed Rs 850 for 3GB data transfer followed by 10ps/10ps. i paid Rs 1600 and bought the USB stick on 15.4.2011. Service got activated on 21.4.2011. after 3 days the service was disconnected . when i contacted the customer care, i was told that my credit limit is only Rs 500 and it has to be increased to Rs 1500.I paid the amount online by credit card and started using the service. On 11.5. 2011, again service has got disconnected. when i contacted the customer care, i was told that my usage charges is Rs 7500 and it has crossed the credit limit of Rs5000... Now my usage is only 30 MB per day and in noway it has crossed the upper limit of 3GB. and even if it has crossed the limit i dont know hoe it can reach Rs 7500..When contacted, reply was that they are not able to access my usage details and has to pay for continued usage. moreover i dont know how the credit limit was raised from initial Rs 1500 to Rs 5000 witout my information... now i have spend nearly Rs 3000 and unable to access the service

      Vodafone — Vodafone 3G Fake

      This month (nov 2010) i bought new Vodafone 3G connection. The agent said 256 kbps is the speed. I paid ready cash of 8000 rs. for the 3G ready connection.

      Now I am getting only speed of 5kbps. Dead Slow.. I am in chennai metro!!!

      They cheated me.. Vodafone is !!

      I AM TRYING MOBILE PORTABILITY FROM 3 MONTHS, THAT IS FROM AIRTEL TO VODAFONE MIGRATION. AND AIRTEL COMPANY IS SENDING ME INVALID PORTING NUMBERS ALWAYS AND NOT ALLOWING ME TO PORT TO VODAFONE.

      VODAFONE EMPLOYEES SENT PORT FROM MY MOBILE .
      I GOT PORTING ID NO = AX535342 & EXPIRY DATE IS 17/05/2011.
      VODAFONE EMPLOYEES ONLY CHECKED IT .

      AND AIRTEL HAS BANNED MY CASTOMER CARE CONTACT FROM MY MOBILE.

So I just called up to know who is that, but there was a gentleman speaking in Hindi, He says 'You got 25Lacks prize money from Vodafone, come and collect it'. Immediately I disconnected that call, but why is Vodafone encouraging that kind of calls??

        As I've previously sent an email regarding my grievances to various of your executives with poor feedback with the usage charges that I'm billed & also a severe case of misinformation by your customer care executive, Mr. Parvez at the Sion Vodafone store.
        My number is[protected] & my name is Rushabh Shah. The number has 3G activated (Rs. 6,250 for 6 months at 5GB/month) & I was using the MiFi (Huawei R-201) device available at the Vodafone Sion store.
        During the purchase of the device at the store, I had spoken to Mr. Parvez about the device. He informed me of the tariff, etc. Also, he told me that UPON COMPLETE UTILISATION OF THE ALLOTED 5GB THE 3G SERVICE WOULD BE TERMINATED FOR THE REMAINING PART OF THE BILLING CYCLE MONTH. Upon that, HE DREW A PARALLEL TO PREPAID SERVICE SAYING THAT SIMILARLY I'LL BE ABLE TO USE ONLY THE PRE-ALLOTED 5GB, and I took the postpaid service as they do not offer any prepaid service for the same.
        The last bit about the 5GB limit was also confirmed by a senior executive Mr. Ravi & Mr. Anup on the customer care number (198). He also clearly said that I will not be able to use the MiFi device once I use the 5GB.
        I had purchased the device on the 20th April, 2011 and the services only got activated on the 21st April, 2011. Having been informed that the SERVICE WOULD BE TERMINATED upon completion of the 5GB, I used the 3G service without any inhibitions as my billing cycle would end on 4th May as there's no provision for carrying forward unutilised balance of data.
        The device worked as promised till late evening of the 26th April, thereon I was not able to avail the service. Within the next hour I got a text message on the aforementioned number[protected] that services have been terminated due to unbilled usage of Rs. 91,808/-.
        As soon as I got the message I dismantled the SIM card & the battery from the device.
        Upon reading the same text message I called the customer care, who advised on visiting the Vodafone Store. Also, I mailed the Vodafone Customer Service & the Nodal Officer as prescribed on the complaints section of the Vodafone website.

        I WAS MISINFORMED REGARDING THE SERVICE ITSELF BY THE VODAFONE CARE EXECUTIVES UPON THAT ONE IS EXPECTED TO BE THE BRUNT OF NEGLECT & POOR FEEDBACK. I HAVE CLEARLY STATED MY GRIEVANCES & HOPE SOME KIND OF REDRESSAL DOES HAPPEN FROM YOUR END. I HAVE USED THE SERVICE UPON THE MISINFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOUR EXECUTIVES.

        The next day itself (28th April) I visited the Vodafone Sion store, where I was made to speak to Mr. Fahad, who was the in-house 3G expert. I was told by him that I was to mail the Vodafone Customer Service, which I'd already done. Also, on the day (as informed by Mr. Fahad) MY UNBILLED USAGE HAD INCREASED TO ABOUT RS. 1,11,000/-, EVEN AFTER HAVING DISMANTLED THE DEVICE THE PREVIOUS DAY. He promised to look into the matter, and also HE TOLD ME THAT A CERTAIN IMC SERVICE WAS NOT ACTIVE ON MY PHONE WHICH MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSING THE PROBLEM. On my visit to the Vodafone Sion store, I confronted Mr. Parvez who first agreed & then in the presence of Mr. Fahad he flatly refused my allegations.
        Also, Mr. Fahad promised to talk to the department that handles the 3G data services. And also to update me with any developments in my case.

        And on the 29th April I spoke to Mr, Fahad over the telephone when he informed me that HE HAD SPOKEN TO THE DEPARTMENT WHICH HANDLES 3G SERVICES WHO HAD CLEARLY INFORMED HIM THAT MY SERVICES WERE BARRED AFTER COMPLETION AFTER UTILISATION OF 5GB.

        And then on the 3rd May 2011 I received an email from Ms. Leena Jadhav on behalf of Ms. Zillah V.

        The mail from Ms. Leena Jadhav did not clearly address my query. I do not have a complaint about Mr. Parvez on a personal level, but rather the complaint is about being misinformed & hence the charges of Rs. 1,25,804 being levied due to gross misinformation supplied by two of the Vodafone executives (Mr. Parvez & Mr. Ravi). I do not wish the employees to be reprimanded, but that justice be done to my case.
        Again, I WAS INFORMED BY THE BOTH THE AFOREMENTIONED EXECUTIVES THAT UPON COMPLETION OF 5GB DATA USAGE THE 3G SERVICES ON MY NUMBER & DEVICE WOULD BE TERMINATED. So this led me to use the service without much worry about the amount of data usage & any other charges.

        And I was told to wait for the 4th May by Mr. Fahad to see my bill amount & the bill details.
        Which I have done & the BILL AMOUNT IS RS. 1,25,804/-.
        After having checked my bill amount, I called Mr. Fahad who told me that he was unable to do anything as apparently my usage was actually amounting to Rs. 1,25,000/- . Also he told me that HE HAD SPOKEN TO THE DEPARTMENT THAT TOLD HIM THAT SERVICES TO THE NUMBER[protected] HAD BEEN BARRED UPON UTILISATION OF 5GB.
        Afterwhich I was given the number of the Nodal Officer where I spoke to Mr. Imran who took my complaint, and assured me that I would be reverted back within 48 hours.

        Upon lodging another complaint with the Nodal Officer, I spoke to a certain Ms. Roopali Prabhu. She was very clear about only one thing that the bill amount was payable. And internal action would be taken against the employees. That is not consumer redressal. I have used the device, of which I've no doubt. But the problem lies in the fact that I was MISINFORMED by employees who are authorised to interact with customers & inform them CORRECTLY of the services offered.
        With the permission of Ms. Roopali Prabhu, I quote her. 'Customer inconvenience is secondary to charges applied, also that the sufferer of the misinformation would be given no heresay or any sort of protection but would be liable to pay the billed amount irrespective of the fact whether the person was misinformed or not. So there's no compensation or reversal available.'
        Does this mean that your employees can go about mongering non-factual information about services offered & the consumers who trust the company appointed executives have to bear & suffer the damage without any sort of redressal or protection from the company?

        My main contention here is that my usage was propelled by the fact that 5GB was the fixed limit, OVER & ABOVE WHICH I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE SERVICE.

        EG: IF A CUSTOMER WERE TOLD THAT A CERTAIN CALL WOULD CHARGE RS. 10 BY A CUSTOMER EXECUTIVE WHEN IN REAL IT ACTUALLY CHARGE RS. 100, WOULD THE CUSTOMER STILL BE LIABLE TO PAY THE CHARGES? THIS IS UTTER RIDICULOUSNESS!

        Grievances -
        1. Clear case of misinformation (whether intentional or non-intentional by Mr. Parvez at the Vodafone Sion store. HE CLEARLY TOLD ME THAT MY 3G SERVICES WOULD BE TERMINATED AFTER USAGE OF 5GB.
        2. Relying upon the information provided by Mr. Parvez, the resultant usage that I did of the service. DUE TO WRONG INFORMATION PROVIDED. (Refer to point 1)
        3. The INCREASE IN UNBILLED USAGE from Rs. 91,808/- to almost Rs. 1,11,000 even when the device was dismantled (and it is even to this date).
        4. The fact that, as per Mr. Fahad, that your 3G DEPARTMENT HAD BARRED MY SERVICES UPON DATA USAGE OF 5GB (the 5GB that I have to pay only Rs. 6,250 for 6 months as per the tariff plan). I still have a bill of Rs. 1,25,000.
        5. I have a credit limit of Rs. 500 for the same number, and no action was taken or no notification/intimation provided till my unbilled usage reached Rs. 91,808/-

        I hope you can reach a settlement as I am a student & cannot absolutely afford to pay such a huge amount. And the fact that my usage is being billed so high IS THE DIRECT FAULT OF WRONG INFORMATION BY MR. PARVEZ & MR. RAVI.

        Vodafone — uninformed raising in message charges

        i am having a vodafone prepaid mobile connection. i did the special re-charge of Rs.69, which will reduce the call rate as well as the charge of SMS. on the friendship day they raised the SMS charge to the base plan without any notification.
        This is also a clear violation of a consumer's right to be correctly informed.

          Hi,

          My name is Tanmay Ghosh and I'm using my vodafone pre-paid no +91 [protected] for the last 6 years.
          I got a message to submit Isim xerox, D proff etc to VF store to avoid burring the no. So I submitted to Naihati Vodafone mini store last year. Now, few months ego I received the same mesage, I went to Naihati Vodafone mini store to check, they told to ignore this. But my line was deactivated after few days. I went to Naihati Vodafone mini store again, they checked the server and told me that was an errorr from Vodafone side and the no was activated soon.

          Now today I have received the same message and my no is diactivated immediately. This is an example of complete irresponsible way to handle customer. Calling to 111 does not serve my purpose.

          I DON'T think I would LIKE to continue to have Vodafone's service.

            It is a long story starting around a year back. I will try to keep it short. I have a mobile connection with Vodafone for last 2.5 years. The number is [protected]. I also have 2 other numbers from the company.

            In May, 2010 VMC service was activated on my mobile although I had never requested. After seeing Rs 250+ taxes in my bill I tried to disconnect the service. I raised multiple requests with the company to de-activate the request but it took around 4-5 months for them to de-activate it and I landed up in paying the company around Rs. 1500 for a sevice which I had never requested.

            In Nov, 2010 I requested vodafone live of Rs.49 which the company happily activated but didn't bother to confirm if my handset is supported by the service or not. When I came to know by their support team that I would never be able to use this service on my phone I asked them to de-activate. Although their system shows that they have a request for de-activating the service. It took months to de-activate the request. Again I landed up in paying the hundreds of bucks to the company. I have called up the customer care, wrote emails, and visited the vodafone store many times. I also tried to contact Mr.Nishesh Oberoi ([protected]) who is the Relationship manager for my company (RBS). But he chose not to help at all.

            I want the company settle all my balance and free me so that I can move on to a different company. Now, I don't to pay any extra single penny to the company. I have already paid them so much extra just to avoid all the trouble.

              Dear Kanik

              I have activated unlimited internet pack on my vodafone postpaid number [protected] on 4/05/11 for my next billing cycle starting the same day. I have also received an activation SMS for the same. After that when I started using the internet my connection stopped. Later on when i confirmed online about my billing details on vodafone website I found out my bill has jumped to 8500 due to net usage. Also my number has been blocked.

              Please look into the matter and correct my billing as soon as possible because I have been in serious problem as I am not able to use internet and on the top of that I am not able to dial or receive call. This has caused me a lot of problems.

                  I had been using vodafone postpaid number [protected] since last 2years. After Change my network to Airtel.I change my network january 2011. I deposited a sum of Rs. 500 at the time of connection activation. But after a time span of more than three months I have not received my security deposit of Rs. 500 from Vodafone .

                    what the hell is this? y r u deducting my balance without any reason. i hate vodafone. if tried to contact vodafone 198, then saying unable to process your request. 111 is chargable. but why to call 111... first you deduct the balance then charge for complaining. aahh. this vodafone company should be devastated.
                    Customer service is utter waste. They drduct money from our account but whn we call them, they r not responding. I will go to consumer court for this problom.
                    Vodafone is deducting the balance frequently and customer care is not responding
                    Same happening with me. They are activating all stupid services like dance, Hollywood videos etc and deducting balance. They deducted my balance from 1000 to now zero and I am helpless.
                    The customer care number is not working at all, each time we press 9 to talk to customer care executive it again goes back to main menu.
                    I am going to consumer court for complaint against them now.

                      Vodafone had an issue with GPRS activation between 9th and 17th, April, 2011. I had recharged for 98Rs (Net Booster) on 9th April, 2011. The connection was activated only on 17th April, 2011. But they claim that my net has been activated on 9th itself and are unwilling to check if it was so. The validity according to them expires on 6th may and my browsing after that has been charged at nearly 80Rs, though i still have to close to 1.9MB unused.

                      A simple look into my net usage records between 9th and 17th will prove that i did not have net access on my mobile during that period. But they will not do that. never refund what has been unfairly taken.

                      Is there some way to make these people pay for such attrocities?????
                      Just hope you go behind being happy and actually help out... your customer care executives seem clueless as to how to do a simple check and rectify the problem.. i cant lodge a complaint at 198 as it is no longer accessible to me... the woes never end with vodafone i guess...
                      It has been exactly 24hrs since I presented my problem to vodafone store at saibaba colony. They have not yet had the courtesy to even call me back with the status. Though I was promised that I would be intimated about the status of the issue in 5-6hrs time.

                      HAPPY TO HELP???? YOU??? thats like so very ridiculous...

                        I called the prepaid customer care on the 3rd of May 2011, at 11:30 a.m. to complain that my balance had been reduced without any reason or explanation from Rs. 60 to Rs. 20. I was told that i had been charged for browsing but the day before when i tried to activate the internet browsing package [Vodafone Mobile Connect] it said that i had already subscribed to the service. Only after this confirmation, i started browsing the internet on my mobile. On 3rd May 2011, after a second call to customer care, i received the complaint number and was assured that the problem would be resolved within 24 hours. However after 24 hours, i only received a message stating: “Sorry, Your request for mobile number [protected] could not be resolved. We regret the inconvenience caused.” I immediately tried calling customer care but to no avail.
                        What sort of reply is this, coming from an international communications company? This is not my first bad experience with vodafone.
                        Please respond and remedy the situation at the earliest.

                          I, am a new prepaid customer of Vodafone([protected]).They deducted Rs 30 from my account on basis of activation of any service(love guru alerts) which i never opted for..
                          in spite of repeated calls to there customer care i dint get good response. When i wanted to talk to supervisor no one attended my call n my call was put on hold for a long time n finally disconnected. None of the executive even bother to lodge a complaint and it’s very harassing being customer of such a big telecom company.

                          and now if i tried calling customer care num 198 and 111 now IVR responding not able to serve your request. Really it is ridiculous

                          i have sent mail and they have replied has been activated on your number through your consent by dialing USSD *123*143# on dated 06/05/11.hence reversal could not be processed.

                          they are fooling customers..i have never opted to activate this service .Even you are fooling customers by activating MCI services free for 1 month for new prepaid customers and charging from the next month. Even the same you have activated without my consent and I have to deactivated it because I don’t want to use it at all. How come you ppl expect from a customer even one who is not interested in receiving any of VAS and you are sending activation SMS for customers who haven’t placed a request for the same.
                          refund my balance back its better to quit from .Pls i would request everyone no one to use this vodafone number in punjab.they are in process of fooling customers by sending alerts and will deduct the charges from your mobile..

                              I have been using this 3G vodafone stick of internet connection for the last 1 month. I have 850/- plan having 3GB free download every month. After 1 day o[censored]sing they discontinued the service saying pay the 900/- rupees after which you will get discount in coming months. We paid the amount and it started working. After 1 month of service again to MY SURPRISE my internet connection was disconnected. Now vodafone guys say pay 2000/- following which I'll get discount from coming months.
                              Our usage as per the call center is well with in the limits however we are still being charged.

                              I feel they are robbers..and hence do not recommend their service...

                                    i have a vodafone number [protected] on which every month services which are not required by me are activated charges are deducted from my account. Every time i have to contact customer care and deactivate the service and ask for refund. However the same service is again activated and same process is repeated.

                                    In some way last month vodafon activate Gurbani scheme on my number. M received msgs from vodafone on 05.04.2011at 08:28 am ,06.04.2011 at 09:18am & 07.04.2011 05:23 pm that from my balance 49 rs. will deducted on 08.04.2011 and that same day (05.04.2011) in night I talked to your costumer care executive Mr. Mukesh saying that balance will not be deducted but all was in vein and on 08.04.2011 my balance amount was deducted. Then m again talked to your customer care executive on 08.04.2011 and he give me number to deactivate to that scheme and I used that way and deactivate Gurbani scheme.

                                    Inspite of all this again today (04.05.2011) I receive same msg on 04.05.2011 at 08:03 am that “Hello ! Aapke account se GURBANI _ Name suvidha ka RS. 49.00 ka sulk is 06.05.2011 ko katega. Kripya balance banaye rakhe”. What is this WHY balance bnaye rkhe bina kissi karan katwane ke liye hum balance baar baar katwane ke liye nhi rkhte calls krne ke liye rkhne hai.........



                                    Inspite of remaining you couple of times that to deactivate Gurbani Service, it's still not done and my cell phone balance is getting deduct every month due to this inconvenience. Immediately deactivate it, make sure my balance not deduct any moreeee..........

                                      Dear Sir,
                                      Myself is Naveen Aggarwal working in Japanese MNC in Bawal, Delhi-Jaipur Highway. We have taken 5 corporate connection from Vodafone in last August. During the negotiation, I have cleared to their sales person that I will be needing unlimited internet access plan as the same I am using in other service provider. The gentlemen talked to his seniors and agreed to serve as I requested.

                                      Then we started using their service including internet access also. Till Feburary, everything was ok but, suddenly in April'11, they have raised a charges for internet usage amounting Rs. 19,445.00.

                                      I surprised to see the bill and when I compared with old bills, I doubted that there must be some goof-up at Vodafone end.

                                      Then I called up their area office and talked to Mr. Sriram on [protected] and asked him to check the same from their end. I did not get any reply. After two days, I caled him up once again, then he told me that your internet usage were high that's why the amount is being shown in your bill. I told him that when I have taken plan for unlimited usage from vodafone and even vodafone did not charged anything for any usage till Mar'11, how they can start charging for the same service and that's too in huge amount. I also told him that my usage are always normal, so check it once again and get it corrected.

                                      After that I called him up 2~3 times but he did not pick up my call.

                                      Moreover, Vodafone has disconnected my all services without any intimation. I got their msg for this but it was too late.

                                      Kindly help me out on this.
