We were allotted in June 2009 a Split A/c by Bharat Petroleum Petro bonus card membership vide

Company : Whirlpool India , Hyderabad.
After numerous calls and complaints and lots of excuses from Mr Shridhar (Whirlpool, Mob- [protected] ) and Mr Shyam Prasad (Bharat Petroleum, Mob:[protected]) we finally were delivered another A/c on 22/09/2009 vide

Item : 1.5 Ton Split Classic (WASR18B18DO), saying that the Air conditioner allotted to us is not available in stock.
When we installed the same in our house by our electrician we came to know that the A/c is damaged, there are some parts missing and the A/c cannot function without them.
we complaint the same to Whirlpool Customer care No: [protected] on 05/10/2009 vide Complaint No: HD[protected]
When the executive inspected the A/c he informs us that as it has not been installed by Whirlpool it cannot be covered in warranty and if it has to be repaired to be made functional then we have to pay Rs: 3000/- for the parts + labor charges.
We really do not understand this policy and we feel cheated.
