[Resolved]  Whirlpool - Refrigerator — Non Durable Product and Very Bad After Sales Service from Whirlpool

Refrigerator purchased from Whirlpool Company, direct delivery from Ranjangaon, 4 years back. It has a warranty of 7 years. While the fridge was delivered, we insisted for a stabiliser but the company people (not the dealer) told us very confidently that it does not require a stablizer. We confirmed it again with the company and they said not required. The fridge had a problem of cooling in 2nd year. We called the Whirlpool people. On the phone, while listening to my complaint he asked me 1st question - Is a stabilizer attached to the fridge, i said no, he said this is the only reason for the problem. When the engineer came to check the fridge he brought with him a new stabilizer. He then repaired the fridge and attached the stabilizer. We paid for the Gas and Service Charge, compressor was changed under warranty. After 2 days again it stopped working, again call the customer care, wait for 4-5 days, then again repairs. It used to work for few days and stop working. This went for 5 to 6 times. This went for 2 months. We were tired of this. Today's position is, the stabilizer is attached but still the fridge has stopped working - no cooling. All the food and other material inside the fridge got spoilt and had to be thrown. We called the Customer Care again, gave the Complaint on 27th Oct 2009, their engineer came after 3 days, did a check-up in 5 minutes, took Rs.285/- from us and said : Gas has gone (5th time). He told us that their mechanic will come the next day. Today is 5th Nov 2009, after several calls we are still waiting for the mechanic to come. In a developed city like Pune, if Whirlpool has this type of Customer Service, 13 days, still waiting, then at other places ?? God Knows ?? Is it that, due to bad Whirlpool products the mechanics are very busy and don't have time for all the customers ?? Such a big inconvenience. Horrible experience overall. Please help. Whirlpool Refrigerator — Very Bad Product

I bought a Whirlpool Refrigirator 3 years ago. The very first day of the installation, the engineer warned us not use the Door Handle to open door as there is a possibility of it breaking!!! In about 6 months, the Handle Broke!! So it was a known problem.

Then one by one all internal storage components started falling apart.

Now, it is dripping water from the Freezer down on to the other compartments.

One of the worst engineered products I have seen.
