[Resolved]  Country Vacations Jaipur — Returning my membership amount of rs 26, 000/-

I purchased 5 Years vacation plan from COUNTRY VACATIONS, JAIPUR on 20.04.2015 vide contract no. 104#2807. Initially I don’t want to purchase it being too costly. The company employees gave me assurance/made promise “ Deposit Rs 25, 000/- today, if you like plan you can continue, if you don’t like plan you can discontinue in future, In that case we will give you 2 vacation of 6N/7D.” After giving assurance by employees, I deposited 25, 000/- at the same time.

After few months, employees of country vacations, Jaipur started to call me again and again for depositing the rest amount of the plan. They said me if I don’t deposit rest of the amount, my membership will be cancelled and you will get nothing. When I told them about the assurance/promise of 2 vacations of 6N/7D in 25, 000/-, made by the company employee at the time of purchase, they completely ignored it. When I called the employee from whom I purchased plan, he told me I have been transferred out of Jaipur, whatever can be done, will only be done by present employees of country vacations Jaipur.

One day I received call from country vacation Jaipur office stating to take the ‘promise/assurance’ in written from our office .They started to call me again and again.

After being called umpteen times, On 25/6/2015, I had to go your country vacation Jaipur office. The employees present at that time(Arvind, Sunil and Poonam) said to me that due to changes of the rules we can provide you only one vacation of 6N/7D in 25, 000/-. They pressurised me to take one vacation of 6N/7D and one gift voucher for which I will have to pay Rs4000/- at the time of booking. My original documents and membership card were taken and in place of that they gave me an affidavit claiming for one vacation of 6N/7D in 25, 000/- and 1 gift voucher. They also took Rs 1000/- as cancellation charges for which no receipt was given to me. This time they promised me “this is the full and final settlement, not a single Rupee is to be given by you in future.” It is also mentioned in the affidavit that it is full and final settlement.

I planned for holiday to kerala. In kerala, the company has three properties, I wanted to take 2N/3D at Trivenrum, 2N/2D at kochin and 2N/2D at Munnar which is equal to 6N/7D but the employees said that you can not split 6N/7D plan to three different locations. Neither it was mentioned in my affidavit nor it was told to me at the time of settlement that I cannot split my 6
N/7D vacations into three 2N/3D. However the company is providing this facility to other customers. Finally, I had to change my holiday location to Hyderabad.

I gave my bookings from 5 to 11 december 2015 for Hyderabad but no confirmation was given to me for a long time. I called them almost every next day but each time they said that your request has been sent to head office, As soon as confirmation comes we will told you personally.

I was not given confirmation even after 20 days. After being delayed 20 days, I called Poonam. She said that confirmation has been given by the head office but your food will be compulsory which will cost to Rs 7000/-i.e. Rs 1000/- per day. Neither it was mentioned in the agreement nor it was told to me when I gave my bookings. It is also not possible that an employee doesn’t know about these charges. So it is a fake charge.

It is clear that I was made fake promises/assurances by the company employees. There were differences among the claims of employees which made it difficult for me to plan my holiday. Each time they tried to take extra charges with different names. Even Charges were not told to me at the initial level, they were told me in the last. It means the main motto of the employees was to make money. I am totally unsatisfied with the behaviour and responses of the employees. I was mentally harassed unnecessarily. During the whole process I lost a lot of valuable time. Not to speak of providing satisfactory services, employees did not left any chance to harass me.

THEREFORE, I GAVE AN APPLICATION IN THE COMPANY OFFICE FOR CANCELLATION OF MY MEMBERSHIP. EMPLOYEE GAVE ME 3 MONTHS TIME TO RETURN MY MONEY. NOW 3 MONTHS HAVE PASSED BUT THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED TO GIVE MY MONEY.
