[Resolved] Cox And Kings — Cox and kings took away our money without travel | |||||
We have been cheated by Cox and Kings. Even after paying 100% tour cost Rs. 1, 76, 000/-, we could not travel. And now they say that the entire money has been forfieted on account of their cancellation charges. For travel to Dubai on 21 Jan 2016, Ms. Jerrilyn Dsouza of Cox and Kings, Marol, Mumbai, took our booking on 15 jan for 2 pax. We paid Rs. 20k as booking amt and Rs. 30k towards air tickets. We paid immediately through their payment link, immediately on 15 Jan itself along with copies of our passports. On 17 th Jan we paid another 30k. Then comes her phone that she forgot to add return travel charges, and the tour cost will increase by 24k. After lot of discussion, we had to accept to pay additional Rs. 11k. The on 18 th jan evening we called their call centre no. to Reminded their floor manager Mr. Navneeth about bisa documents not being asked for from us. In night, we mailed our photos (clicked at home on white background). Finally on 19th morning, we again mailed our photos clicked by professional photographer. We were asked to pay the entire balance payment in evening which we paid. 20th we were forced to sign their travel agreement and the day spent in scanning the entire document and mail page by page. After vigorous follow up on 20th, by night we were sent the travel tickets and my wife's visa. On 21st, the travel date, spending the whole morning in follow up, just 1 hr before leaving home for airport, we were mailed the itenary with hotel vouchers. But my visa was not sent and i was asked to proceed to the airport and take print their. but did not apply for the Visa till 19 Jan morning. Thereafter on 20 Jan evening they sent only one visa, due to which we were not allowed to travel. Pls support. Sameer Gupta, Jaipur, [protected] Finally on way to airport, we got a call that my visa has been rejected by counselate due to some court case on me. Also this rejection has been verbal from the counselate. Now i should go to airport, and my wife should do some ' Rona Dhona' at Airlines office at jaipur airport to get my air tickets cancelled and take refund. This was misguiding, since 1) The dubai tourist visa is not issued by counselate, but by Authorised Travel Agents there. 2) The rejection, if any, is never verbal. 3) The visa was not at all rejected. It was later released on 23 Jan. Only that the Visa application was filed late - just 2 days before travel. 4) There is no ticket counter pf Etihad at Jaipur Airport. 5) Online booked tickets cannot be cancelled for cash on ticket counters. Finally, we had to return from Airport. Thereafter no response from cox and kings till next 15 days. I am definitely going to consumer forum. If anybody can support or guide.
