[Resolved]  HDFC Bank Bank – Credit Card — HDFC Titanium MasterCard – Credit Card Final Settlement Issue

Dear Sir/Madam,
I had HDFC Credit Card which I was using past 4 years. I was using the credit card properly. Past one year, I could not pay the full amount within the credit period of 50 days. Hence, I was paying only the minimum due every month. So, my outstanding balance increased due to the interest which I could not afford and pay. Hence, we decided to close the credit card and we were planning to convert as EMI.

We tried to contact the person regarding the issue. But, we could not find anyone to speak about settlement of credit card balance and we got frustrated. We don’t want to hold the credit card and wanted to close it. We were contacting customer service continuously. We advised us to come to Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai as the card hold an account with the Chennai branch. We stepped into HDFC Branch, E-City. The manager advised us to meet HDFC Bank – Credit Card Branch, Richmond Road Office at Bangalore. We went to the Richmond Road office and waited there more than 4 hours and could not find anyone to speak. We got irritated and step out from the office. We could not wait more than 4 hours as we came from very long distance.
After 2 weeks, they called us and told us to pay the minimum due but we wanted to close the credit card. After 2 days, Customer service of HDFC Bank pressured me to pay only the minimum balance due. They didn’t advise the proper procedure to close the credit card. Again, they called and told me that they will pass the call to their manager. Then, I spoke with the employee (Emp. No. V1064 – Vijayalakshmi – [protected]) from HDFC Credit Card Branch, Richmond Road, Bangalore and then she advised me to settle the payment and asked me to continue the credit card.
I wanted to close the credit card. But, they always insist me to keep the credit card (I don’t know the stupid reason for this). I was adamant that wanted to close the credit card. Finally, she suggested me to covert the outstanding balance Rs. 46482 as EIGHT EMIs. I agreed the same and paid the amount as follows.

After issuing the checked, I was asked the proof. She gave me the reference letter dated on 25th October, 2012 and the Reference number is S1189639 which is duly signed by the P.B. Santhosh Kumar (Employee Code S4681)
She also clearly mentioned, Once all the cheques have been cleared then my outstanding balance would be zero.
Now, I have received the statement on 17th May 2013 which has the outstanding balance of Rs 22014. I have paid all the amount till date but these are sending wrong statements.
So I have the below concerns,
1. Why she is giving the fraud statement?
2. What is the purpose of paying all the outstanding amount through EMI?
3. Why should I pay new balance as I cleared the entire (outstanding) amount through 8 EMIs till May 2013 ?
4. What kind of legal action can we taken for this?
FYI, Credit Card expired on April 2013. I was not using this card for last 8 months .

Credit Card-HDFC Bank — Settlement outstanding

DEAR SIR,
I WANT TO SETTLEMENT OF MY HDFC CREDIT CARD MY CARD NUMBER IS Gopal Kishan Sinha [protected].SO EVERY MONTH ADD TO LATE FEE ALSO. SO I REQUEST TO PLZ SEND ME THE SETTLEMENT OF MY CREDIT CARD. I AM HARRESMENT OF THIS BILL.

I had taken a Credit Card from hdfc bank 1 years ago. when i get the credit card, i recieved call from hdfc bank for mediclaim. they told me you get the free madiclaim policy with this credit card. but when i get the statment for this credit card for that month, they withdraw Rs. Lumsum 3500/- from my credit card account. then i go to the bank and gave them a cansellation form for credit card & mediclaim policy. but they don't excepted this, & they told me you clear this amount of rs.Lumpsum 3500/- then they will close this things. but i had never paid this thats why my outstanding ammount was increased to 17422.49/-

i purchase lumsum 3000 to 4000/-

I am already deposited 4000/- + 1200/-.
then i decided to settlement of this issue
please help me i am in serios trouble

HDFC CR CARD — Cr card final settlement

Hi,

I am holding HDFC cr and debit card both.

Saving acc num- [protected]

HDFC has put a hold on appx 8600 rs in my saving account without intimating me and also did not informed that the hold is active on my account. A/c hold on 26 may'11 appx.

Earlier i was using Value Plus cr card which i converted into silver card bcos i was told by customer card that it has some special benfits like late fee exemption, 250 points on shopping etc. Infact it has 150 points.

When I requested for late fee waiver , so customer care denied for the same.
I was disappointed and stopped the payments.

Then HDFC collection staff called me 3 or 4 times and i shared my problem with them but they did not helped me. And used very unprofessional language every time.

Due to all these problems I was very disappointed and one day i called up cust care & asked for final settlement. They refused for late fee waiver and did not entertained settlement also. This happened in Jan2011.

In the month of june'11 i again called up hdfc and they commited call back. i got call back but issue was not resolved. It was just for formality.


I was final settlement, I want to know why financial transaction has been done without informing me.??
