1. BLDC Fan (Energion Regmote)
I purchased this BLDC fan in peak summer (April 2024). The shop owner told me that a Crompton technician would visit within 2 days for installation.
No one came, so I called the shop again. The owner asked me to wait 1 more day. Still, no one came.
By this time, I had already spent 3–4 nights sleeping in my drawing hall because my bedroom (on the first floor) was unbearably hot like an oven.
On the 4th–5th day, I personally went to the shop because the owner had started ignoring my calls. Only then, he arranged for a technician to come.
The technician who came did not even know how to set up a BLDC fan. He kept calling someone else for instructions over the phone. Somehow, the installation was done.
That night, when I finally thought I could sleep in my room, the fan switched off by itself multiple times while I was asleep. This happened for 2–3 nights.
I complained to the shop owner, who finally agreed to take the BLDC fan back and offered me either a refund or replacement. Since I needed a fan immediately, I chose another Crompton model with a 5-year warranty (Aura Prime).
2. Normal Fan (Aura2 Prime)
The shop owner convinced me that this fan was better and more durable, as Crompton gives a 5-year warranty (whereas BLDC models get only 2–3 years).
However, within 2–3 months, this fan also started making disturbing noise. Initially, I ignored it, but the noise level kept increasing and started disturbing my sleep.
3. Customer Support Experience
The shop owner filed a complaint online on Crompton’s app. A week passed, but no technician came.
When I followed up, the technician later lied that my phone was unreachable (which was false). Why ask for full address and pincode if they don’t use it?
Later, I filed a fresh complaint mysel[censored]sing the warranty card helpline. The technician came, saw my video proof, and only tightened screws. The noise returned in 2–3 days.
I filed another complaint. After waiting longer than the promised 48 hours, a technician replaced the fan’s bearing. Again, it worked for only a few days, and the noise returned.
On 19th September 2025, I raised another complaint for the same issue. Since then, I have had to call customer support every single day.
Every day, they repeat the same line: “Technician will visit by evening.” But no one came.
On 22nd September 2025, I was told that my complaint was “rejected” by the technician, with the reason “complaint filed by mistake.” I was never even contacted before rejecting my complaint.
I had to raise a fresh complaint again on 22nd September 2025. Today is 30th September 2025, and even after 8 days, no one has come, no one has called, and the issue is still unresolved.
Impact on Me as a Customer
Repeated sleepless nights because of the fan’s loud noise.
Wasted my time and energy every day calling customer support.
Calls are sometimes picked up and then ignored — the agents put you on mute while you keep saying “Hello.”
No accountability or customer feedback system exists.
The so-called 5-year warranty is meaningless if no one responds.
Resolution Requested
Immediate replacement or permanent repair of my defective Crompton Aura Prime fan.
Strict action against technicians and customer support who keep delaying and rejecting complaints without resolution.
A transparent customer service process where complaints are addressed within the promised time, and customers are not ignored.
