I have been a member for some years, but the services have deteriorated drastically.
1. Roadside assistance — on 04/08/17, at nehru place, my car refused to start and i lodged a complaint — a mechanic came after 90 minutes. I asked him specifically if there was a problem with the battery, he said it was ok (Without bothering to check). The car somehow started and then wouldnt re-start. Then he said the battery was dead, and replaced it with a new one. (With provisional receipt). The horn still did not function, so he said water had got in!! Though it was working at times.
On 09/08/17, the car stalled again, and a mechanic came after 45 minutes, to diagnose the alternator wasn't working (Later confirmed by a garage). So i was earlier made to buy a redundant battery at 3k+, simply due to lack of checking.
For a helpline which promises help within 30 minutes, the wait is almost double, which is a problem specially for a female senior citizen.
2. Doorstep servicing — after booking (With advance payment of almost 3k) on 6th, i waited half the day, and after a few calls, heard there was no mechanic that day — without any apology or prior information.
I rebooked for today at 11 am, got a confirmation call yesterday but the story was repeated. After a dozen calls, 2 mechanics turned up almost 2 hours late, (I had scheduled appointments with 11 am in mind) and were extremely cheeky. So i spoke to a company official and was told i could mail and cancel, and they would refund the money. I definitely do not want their servicing and want the refund. I expect the company to comply with this at the earliest, to avoid escalation. I notice that other customers have had similar experiences.
They have wasted 2 of my working days, time and money.
Prior to membership renewal and service booking, i was being hounded by phone calls, but now unreachable most of the time! I had mailed to customer care twice, but no response yet.
