Pineapple flavor. The complete name on pack is Réal Fruit Power Pineapple. At first I suspected it was a borrowed smell from something else, like when you keep apple slices with onion slices. But there is nothing stored along side the pack. Plus tetra packs are not porous or comsposed of organic tissues and sealed after packaging them in pallets. So then I emptied half the pack to see if it was a surface phenomenon and still the smell was present. No point in going to the retailer as they will just shirk it off like in the above comment by another customer with similar complaint, an advocate. Which explains why the complaint was posted by customer, most people just don't report it. As there is no signal from the company that they will correct this and you end up losing more time. So, if anyone has similar problem, just file a complaint online. Then with state consumer forum and Dabur customer care. The first medium has higher chances and will give people the confidence due to social proof that you don't have to stay silent about this kind of health issue. And please don't drink it if it smells foul. Pineapple juice does not smell foul or bad. You would be surprised by how many people can't afford to drink it and so they think it's normal. Ugh! Here's details for reference, as 1 month is a best-case scenario for a response. The batch number - NB20008A/1 Manufactured 06/20 MRP is 105.00 MRP is important to note. In case you're buying it for 200 or even 500 Rs. A reasonable resolution would be to have a collection center where people can just drop in samples of the product or the entire product in whatever condition, no strings attached. Sep 10, 2020 Complaint marked as Resolved The email address they used is [email protected]. I sent them the email first. And they responded with a possibly automated reply as it did not take into account information a human would understand.
They asked me to provide the batch no, manufacture date, etc. and the detail address and phone number so that a representative could handle the complaint.
I am unaware of any actual steps taken by the company to resolve this issue.
And am pretty glad it got resolved without involving their customer care from the first impression they made. Dabur customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. | |||
