[Resolved] Daikin Air Conditioners / Daikinindia.com — split ac unit supplied by your company caused fire and damages | |||
One JTK 160TV 16U Daikin 2.00 TR SPLIT AC(5S) Unit was purchased by me from your distributor M/s. Chawla Refrigeration & Sons Vasundhra, Ghaziabad vide Invoice No. 689 dated 02.07.2018 for Rs. 44976.00. The unit was installed at my residence. On 09.07.2018 we retired to our room as usual about 10 PM. However, on the night of 09.07.18 (or early morning 10.07.18 at about 00.45 hrs) there was a spark and some obnoxious sound. We got up from the bed and found sparks coming from unit. We got panicked and immediately cut off supplies from Meter. We tried to extinguish fire with water and domestic fire extinguishers. Police on DIAL 100 (EMAZ F[protected]) was also informed and so also Fire Brigade was also alerted. Both reached within 20-25 Minutes. In the meantime with great efforts fire from AC Unit could be extinguished but it left very bad and obnoxious odour in the entire room. The room was engulfed with smoke also. The incident also caused breathing problems and irritation in eyes. All electrical installations of the room were also damaged and burnt. Walls of the room got blackened and many belonging like bed sheets pillows etc. also got damaged. In totality it left us in great panic and agony. We are highly surprised and anguished that a reputed global company like Daikin Air Conditioning India (P) Ltd. provides such poor and deficient services and supplies malfunctioning unit of AC. All the more the attitude of service managed was also not very cooperative. The incident is bound to bring a very bad and damaging name to your company. We sent emails to all the officials of the company but to our surprise they even don't care to acknowledge the emails. Was this information helpful? | |||
