Politicl parties, companies, organizations and fund mobilizers are taking people for ride, over jumlas, false commitments, outright breach of trust. Forget gentleman's agreement, even legally enforceable contractual obligations are being given short shrift. I bought an AC from snapdeal, last week it was delivered. From selling pitch, specs, invoice and delivery packing list, innumerable times they mentioned that installation (standard) is free. However, when actually, seller's (Blue Star) team (Cool Point, Lucknow) actually showed up, they demanded money. I have shown them the door and given snapdeal and blue star some piece of mind but they seem to have skin thicker than the rhino. No amount of request, cajoling, consumer forum threats, social media ostracizing seems to bother them. I have resigned now to get the installation done at my cost and see these unscrupulous fellows in consumer forum and mediation / arbitration platforms to drill some CRM, legal and above all common sense into their profeteering heads.
