Delhi Jal Board Complaints & Reviews

Dear Sir,

I am resident of RZ /7, New T Block Gali no-4, Part II, Uttam Nagar New Delhi in this area from last 4 to 5 months we are facing No water supply. And now from last one month we are getting contaminated, drinking water mixed with sewer water, i.e. water with black color, with foul smell and that is not even useful for bathing or washing purpose. We people have made complaint to Jal Board many times, But till date No action has been taken and still we are getting dirty water. When we people launch complaint against it Jal Board has replied that they are repairing the pipe lines but from 1 month have passed but no repair has done yet. Kindly look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest, as when we are paying for the water at least, we have to get clean water. In this situation how long we people can survive.

What action can I take to ensure that I get water at least one hour even once or twice a week?

Is it a fundamental right?

hope that our government will take some strict action in this matter so that we can proudly say that WE ARE DELHITIES.

I am resident of Raj Nagar part - 2, Palam colony, and we have already informed the authorities regarding the problem of no water supply, the water supply was ok before the voting day, but right after voting was done the water has dissapeared, we keeping running our motors all thru the night, but water.

I have spoken to Ramesh Takur -- [protected], Mr Radhey Shyam -- [protected], , Mr Vinod Kumar -- [protected], Mr Rajendra Bakshi -- [protected], but all in vain.

have also informed to seniors Mr B.M Dhaul[protected] & Mr Negi[protected] .

But there has been no result.

in chand nagar (west zone) the entire colony (nearby plot no.347-A chand nagar n.delhi110018) is getting drinking water mixed with sewer water, i.e. water with black colour.i have lodged many complaint on helpline (vide s.no 5961, 6000 dt 6/5/9, 6012 dtd7/5/9, 6259dt11/5/9, but unfortunately nobody has turn up so far despite having reported that there ia leakage at plot, no 365 chand nagar gurudwara road, .The higher authority may kinly look into the matter regarding lethargic attitude of the maintenance staff of DJB.

There is no water supply in EG block of Inderpuri for the last 40 days. In spite of repeated complaints to Delhi Jal Board/Delhi Jal Board Secretary and copy of the Chairperson, DJB Hon'ble Chief Minister Mrs. Shiela Dixit no action has been taken to restore the water supply. Every one has to depend on Water Tankers...till how long? Is there any way to come out of this miserable situation? When will the Delhi Jal Board authorities come forward for the rescue of the EG Block residents specially House No. 44 to 49 who are living on the tail end of the street. The residents living in the from block having high powered suction pumps get all the water leaving not a single drop for the tailenders? Will the DJB authorities wake up and take action against these persons so that other too get some water to live a normal life?

i am a resident of wz-343a, naraina viilage, new delhi-28. near mcd despencry a sevage water mixed with your mcd water pipe which is broken. this pipe is broken since from 2 week. we also complaint your executive officer of delhi jal board-mr sahni. we hope that you solve this problem as soon as posible.

although near by area is getting water supply so please take immediate action to solve our problem ASAP.as we are in very bad condition due to unavailability of drinking water

Dear Sir,

There is no water supply for the last 25 days in EG Block. In spite of repeated complaints and the assurances from the officials of Delhi Jal Board the water supply has not been restored causing undue hardship to the residents of these block who are living on the tail end of the street as any water released is pumped by heavy motors installed by the residents who are living in front row depriving us from getting any water. There are also taps attached to the main pipeline which are always found to be running and lowering the preassure of water which could not reach the exact destination.

Kindly look into this and save us from lving a miserable life without water.

I am a resident of Ranjit Nagar, 2750A/13, Ranjit Nagar, New Delhi-110008. No water is being supplied in this area during day time. Supplies are being given after 12 in the Night only since last 15 days.

We have complained with the authorites for the same but nothing has been solved out. This problem is being faced by few residents of this locality in other areas supplies are normal.

It is very difficult for working people like us. It has become a daily routien for us to wait for the water till 12 in the night to fill the water tank.

Kindly help us to solve this problem.

I am a resident of Gopal Nagar, adjoining Fateh Nagar, Hari Nagar. I bought a home in 2002. Since then I had not seen my tap getting wet anytime.

I have never seen water drops anytime. I had spoken to my colony association but they also seems to be helpless. they had tried a lot but DJB did not find solution to provide water supply.

I am sure there is small technical problem, which may be corrected by focussing on the area.

However, bill is being raised by DJB without giving any service. I have got the bill now but I am unsure as why should the same be paid when there had been no supply.

I hv applied delhi jal board new water connection at virender nagar, opp. bharti mahilla collage, name of sher singh dangi, b-1/21, madhu vihar, new delhi -110059 and submitted file with documents on dtd. 21.03.09 dairy no. 823, till date do't hv get any kind of reply on there side in this form clearly mention you can get status within 7 days. i hv talk with ZE/ZRO and local office to know my connection status no one reply to me.

so what i will do pls reply me.

It has been observed that last few bills were delivered at our residence only 3 to 4 days before the last date of submission. There were heavy queue on these days and we could not submit the bills before the last date. We had to pay the bills after the last date along with the surcharge. Please find out the reason for the same do the needful to avoid inconvinence for the public.You may also find some alternative means of payment for the public .

Bills periods :- 12/07/2007 to 07/02/2008, 08/02/2008 to 07/05/2008, 08/05/2008 to 22/07/2008 and 23/07/2008 to 22/01/2009.
Bills No. : 238729 dt. 17/03/2008, 6192 dt. 23/07/2008, 78614 dt. 13/10/2008 and 211699 dt. 21/03/2009.
The above bills contains arrears of Rs. 2180/- in bill no. 6192 dt. 23/07/2008 and despite payment of Rs. 2076/- made on dt. 27/03/2008, the arrear amount is been shown in my next three bills details of which is above stated. I have already paid all arrears and all dues time to time and due to the mistake in preparing the bill I have to personly visit to the Office of the Jal Board( which is far from my residence) then only I could make payments.
It is also informed that payments of bills as stated above are made on time and a written complaint was also sent to the Office of the Delhi Jal Board, Office at Yojna Vihar, Delhi-92 which was duly received by the concerned clerk and an endosement no. 139 was made over the copy of the complaint.
The details of my bills are as under:

Please pay due attention over this so as to solve my prblem as till today the arrear as of bill no 238729 of Rs. 2180/- with other charges is being added in my comming bills while all bills have been paid. This act of the department/concerned official is giving me vey much trouble.

I am a resident of C8 Vasant Kunj. There has been no mains supply water for 6th, 7th and 8th April 2009. We have no official intimation as to why this is so, however from unofficial sources we learn that there has been a pipeline burst due to which there is no water supply. It is the 3rd day today that we have NO water. DJB is not supplying any tankers for our minimum needs.Local Tankers are demanding Rs500/= for 500 ltrs!
I am told that the pipeline was repaired on 7th but there is still no water as on time of sending this mail. This way of operating by the Jal Board is so sad that it makes one want to cry in despair.

I have above reffered connection in my name and regularly I have paid my bill before due date. But a Bill amount which I have paid on 26.07.2008 is again & again demanding me as arear in every bill. I have already get deducted the same three times ( by personal visit to Delhi Jal Board, Rohini Office at Sector-6 Rohini) But all is vain. The Department has already add the same amount with repeated surcharge in my current bill No.229169 due on 25.03.2009.

I am working in private company & lost my three days salary for get deducted the same. But no action is taken by the deptt.

You are requested to please take the necessary action at the earliest. I will be grateful to you if the problem is solved.

I am a resident of 27B/5 New Rohtak Road, govt quarters, New delhi-5. the sewer in the back lane of the residences from 27B/1 to 27B/14 is in lying blocked since many months and the sewer is overflowing through mainholes with the result that there is backflow towards the domestic sewer and thus insides of toilets. the condition is highly miserable and has led to the breeding od mosquitoes and foul smell all over the place. this is posing a great health threat to the inhabitants residing there.

I urge the concerned authorities to take an immediate action.
