[Resolved]  DGCA — Refund of E-Ticket No.[protected] dated 26 Jan 2020

Address:Delhi

Dear Sir,

This is regarding Refund of E-Ticket No.[protected] dated 26 Jan 2020 (Copy enclosed for reference). The online ticket was booked from New Delhi to Toronto, Canada via Air India Call Centre at Gurgaon. However, due to Corona pandemics the flight AI 187 dated 28 April 2020 was canceled.
It was informed through e-media/Email that the ticket cost could be adjusted in future journeys or a refund can be claimed within one year. Being an international student it was mandatory to fly to Canada hence another ticket was booked via Air India (Vande Bharat Mission flight) in the month of Jul 2020 but Air India refused to adjust the amount of said ticket.
Subsequently numerous times Call Centre was contacted for cancellation via phone but the call was never through as Call Centre always put the call in que for more than 45 minutes and so on but all attempts till date are in vain.
Alternatively, the cancellation process was attempted via a known person of mine in Air India but to my surprise it was informed the ticket money has already been claimed by someone at Pune, which is purely a fraud. How someone can claim refund of E-ticket which has been paid from my HDFC account via debit card.
I Anurag Thakur hereby declare that no such refund has been received by me till date.
Kindly investigate the matter at the earliest and facilitate the refund of Rs. 52, 879 at the earliest.

Regards

Vijay Kumar
