Failing to meet timelines of delivery of a personal shipment from UK
I’ve had it up to my neck with the incompetence and fraudulent tendencies of DHL. This is the second time in a span of two months that they have harassed me because of internal system failures and have routinely delayed my packages by a minimum of 2 weeks. All these for personal parcels. They transfer packages from one place to another without any intimation but when you ask them they turn around and ask me whether I have given instructions. Their clearance team in Chennai is at another level of incompetence for international shipments. Despite submitting all relevant documents they repeatedly harass me with calls asking for the EXACT SAME documents. Also, despite making it abundantly clear that it’s a personal package, I’m bombarded with calls asking which company this is for and if it is for business purposes. Over and above all this the customs charges are obscene and unjustified. I do not face this with any other courier partner and even the post office is much more efficient than this. As I submit this complaint I have still not received my parcel. The only thing you get is 20 fake apologies. They also never connect you to the escalation team and no action is ever taken.
