My package from my husband in the us arrived in india on aug 12th, i have been on call with dhl almost every single day since 12th aug. They were very poor in providing an update and guiding the customer through the clearing process. My shipment had mostly eatables and few other items like innerwear/sunglasses&few kitchen accessories. One of the item being a meat product (Which is restricted in india) my husband dint know this at the time of shipping, however the re-packing of all the items was done by the dhl agent itself and didn't mention anything about the restrictions of certain items in india. After so many requests and writing emails, my shipment has not been cleared by customs and dhl has done nothing about this. This is huge financial loss for us as the total cost is $600 (Items+shipping cost). Just because of one item my package is not cleared and sent to ds location. Nobody from dhl has got back to me about this.
If only dhl had told us about the restricted items we wouldn't have gone through this emotional stress and the financial loss. I would like to have dhl refund the amount that we have lost please Was this information helpful? |
