Domino's Pizza — Fraudulent Misrepresentation, Deliberate Quality Dilution, Price Gouging, Food Misbranding, Cheating & Exploitation of Captive Con

Complaint, placing on record acts of systemic fraud, deliberate deception, food misbranding, unfair trade practices, and consumer exploitation perpetrated by Domino’s Pizza India at a public event venue.

Event & Transaction Details

Event: EDM Music Festival “CIRCUS”
Date: 26 December 2025
Venue: The Dome, Mumbai
Product Purchased: “Double Cheese Pizza” from Domino’s stall
The pizza sold as “Double Cheese Pizza” was not double cheese by any stretch of imagination.
The product was:
Flat, poorly made, substandard, and
Contained at best a thin single layer, and
No actual cheese whatsoever, but a mayonnaise-based substitute, deceptively passed off as cheese.
This was not a case of reduced quantity but complete falsification of product identity.
Selling such an item under the label “Double Cheese Pizza” amounts to outright fraud, cheating, and intentional consumer deception.
I further raise a serious and systemic issue which goes beyond this single transaction:

At event venues such as The Dome, outside food and beverages are expressly prohibited, leaving visitors with no alternative but to purchase food sold inside.
Domino’s, fully aware of this captive environment, arbitrarily inflates prices, charging as per its own whims, without transparency or accountability.
Simultaneously, the quality is deliberately diluted to substandard levels, far inferior to what Domino’s ordinarily supplies at its regular outlets.
This practice amounts to institutionalized exploitation, where consumers are:
Forced to buy,
Overcharged,
Served inferior products,
And misled about the nature and quality of food.
This is not merely unfair - it is predatory, unethical, and illegal.

Your actions attract multiple serious statutory violations including but not limited to provisions under Consumer Protection Act, 2019, Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, Legal Metrology Act, 2009, Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

The misconduct occurred at a public event with thousands of attendees.
Consumers were deliberately trapped in a no-choice environment.
The brand exploited its reputation to sell inferior, misrepresented food at inflated prices.
You are hereby called upon to:

Immediately explain why cheese was substituted with mayonnaise while branding the product as “Double Cheese”.

Disclose ingredient lists, sourcing, and SOPs followed at event stalls.
Refund the amount charged along with compensation for unfair trade practice and mental harassment.

Clarify and justify event-specific pricing policies.

Confirm corrective action to prevent quality dilution and price gouging at captive venues.
