DTDC Courier & Cargo — deviation from delivery protocol

Consignment # z99494501 was handed over to dtdc at ludhiana on 18th may, 19. The delivery was expected in indore by 21st – 22nd may, 19. The consignment was being tracked on line as it contained important documents. By the afternoon of 22nd the status showed ‘delivered’ but physically it was not delivered. Dtdc satya sai office was contacted and after some time i was told to search and collect it from my mailbox which is in a common place downstairs amongst all the mailboxes belonging to building inmates.
It is a gross negligence and deviation from the usual practice; consignments are supposed to be delivered door to door personally. There was a chance of loosing the package which was protruding out of the smaller sized mail box.
I have been availing the services of dtdc for sending packages within the national boundary and abroad for many years but never have faced this kind of sheer negligence. This may be an early sign of mismanagement, please take necessary corrective action.
