DTDC Courier & Cargo — ref: n[protected] penalty and refund for delayed delivery | |||
I had send the Rakhi in courier to my brother in Singapore on 18.08.2018 through DTDC. The courier person had committed to deliver the Rakhi before 26.08.2018. The courier did not reach on time. On inquiring they showed that the courier reached Singapore on 23 August but no one was found available at home. I confirmed that there was someone at home throughout that day. Further it is surprising that no call was made on 23rd to the recipients and no attempt was made to deliver the courier the next day or on later days. We lodged a complaint with the company on 27th August for non delivery. The courier was finally delivered on 30th August. I request you to refund the amount in cash of Rs 900/- paid to DTDC due to delayed delivery of my courier. Further a penalty of Rs. 5000/- should be levied on them for not delivering the Rakhis on time which was eagerly awaited by my brother and caused loss of face for me. Enclosed the following - 1.
