Compaint about Delivery Service of DTDC.
Case: Non delivery of registered mail and zero response from customer care. Desired resolution: Request of fund
Background info: I am a foreign national from Germany who traveled in India in January 2017. I lost/forgot my national identity card in a Mumbai hotel in January 2017. The hotel concated me and I decided to have the document delivered to my home address by registered mail. The hotel used DTDC services and sent me the copy of the delivery slip. The whole service did cost me 3000 rupies.
Problem: The letter/parcel was submitted by the hotel to DTDC on January, 16th, 2017. Until today, the letter has not been delivered to my home address in Germany. The DTDC tracking system is showing a rerouting of the letter for two weeks within various Mumbai DTDC facilites. The display of the tracking system ends January, 24, 2017 with the sentence "returned to sending station". (The hotel has not received back the letter ). I have registered a "case" with DTDC by email addressed to their customer service online on January, 25th. I received an automatic reply from DTDC with a case number (Case number[protected]. Since then, I have never heard from them again. I tried to contact them by email, using their alternative enquiry/feedback email-address = no reponse. I called their Mumbai branch several times = nobody ever picked up. I tried to contact them through their live chat function = dysfunctional/nobody responded.
As I had to legally cancel my national identy card by now due to unclearity of its whereabouts, I am interested by now in a refund of the 3000 rupies for a non-existing service. Unfortunately, I have to say based on my experiences up to now that DTDC comes across as highly fraud and utterly unprofessional. Was this information helpful? |
