DTDC Courier — Non-delivery of goods and negligence on part of local office

I sent 2 parcels (weighing around 30 Kgs) through Bijnor office to be delivered to Mumbai on 6th April, 15. First of all when I asked their representative what is the minimum weight for which they can book a cargo then they replied me that it is 30 Kg. So, somehow I managed to brought those parcels at their office. When I reached there they said they have no idea regarding weight and they need to ask their boss from Meerut regarding the same. Then they called him and he replied that 30 Kg is minimum wt. for Inter-UP. For Mumbai we need a minimum weght of 50 Kg. Then those guys charged me for 50 Kg although on phone they confirmed me 30 Kg. When I asked for receipt then they said that they will give it tomorrow as it will be booked from Meerut. Next day when I visited their office for receipt they said by mistake Meerut office has booked the shipment for 30 Kg only. Then I asked them that why you have charged me for 50Kg. Then they said that they have to bear the loss of 20kg from their pocket and then issued me the receipt of 50 kg only + Service Tax. Even after 7 days of shipping when it didn't reach the destination then I checked the status on website. I came to know that this shipment was returned back from Ghaziabad on 11th April and arrived back to Bijnor. Now when I called the Bijnor office they confirmed that yes sir it returned and we have again sent it to Ghaziabad. When I asked them the reason they said they don't know. Then I asked them that why didn't they informed me on 11th so that I could have collected it back then also they didn't answer. They were not even knowing that it came back from Ghaziabad itself and they have again dispatched it so as to earn the money and cheat us. Now after seeing the current status my party is not ready to take that shipment and I have suffered a loss of Rs. 13000 due to the same + Courier Charges + Freight. These DTDC people have again dispatched my shipment and are not aware of the current location. I feel cheated. I want my parcel back + courier charges + damage. Regards Pulkit Gupta [protected]
