I recently bought a wilson/queen bed - solid wood bed from the durian store in bangalore. I paid the money in advance and the product came home after 7 days.

As soon as it arrived, we found the product defective since the head board which was sold to us stating solid wood was actually 2 pieces joint together. Moreover the head board was cracked at the joint.

On pointing it out to the sales person, he said will send someone to attend to this. So every other day since a week now, someone from the store is coming home to fix a screw or two some place or the other. Since this was continuing, i asked for a replacement of the same product with a fresh piece when i was told that there is no stock.

Now you understand my plight with having invested a good amount of money behind purchasing this bed and having issues from the first day itself.

So i will ensure that the whole world knows about the bad quality of products from durian furniture. Every possible website should feature the bad products that durian sells.

    I have purchased dining table from durian outlet elgin road 3 to 4years ago.from the very first day it was having a manufacturing defect as the glass sheet hanged under the glass top was loose.on complaining they said for this type of fusion fault the company is providing the service free of cost and theysend the mechanic and repaired it after 2 or 3 month the hanged glass sheet fall down and the all four fusion points were defused (opened). the company again send the mechanic and all the four points were fused .
    but now this time after one months of regular complaint they send the mechanic.
    the mechanic as well as the company outlet manager was demanding money for the repairing for the same type of defect for rs.500 to600 per fusion point .and still they are not sending the mechanic..
    kindly advise what should i do??

      I visit the outlet of durian furniture in raipur (Cg) & i have select the office chair, table & visitor chair but when i saw one of the president chair in which there was a defect, and after asking about this defect the staaf says that this is a manufacturer defect and very rude behavior not even know how to talk to customer, one thing more to say that the product price is different in outlet and in company website because i got a vast difference in price too.

          I had bought 1 set bedroom furniture on 08.01.2012 which includes 4 doors wardrobe from durian company at kolkata. recently wardrobe got damaged due to water leakage from bathroom wall. immediately on 18.07.2016 i contacted with a person of durian office at kolkata at his moblie no.[protected] and requested him to send persons to repair the same on extreme urgent basis when i was told to send him my residential address and assured me to send their person on the very next date. i accordingly sent the address through sms at his number. surprisingly till today he has not sent any person to inspect or to repair the wardrobe. since 18.07.2016 we waited with expectation that company must send someone at our place but uptil now none visited. today i. e. 23.07.2016 when my wife contacted him he told her that one of their staff has called me today at morning but fact remains i haven't received any call today. he also misbehaved with her. then i personally talked to him at his mobile and asked him as to why he did not send any person and why he lied to my wife. on such query he became furious and misbehaved with me and declined to send any person to me and threatened me with dire consequences if i make any complaint to the company.
          So, you are requested to take appropriate action against such errant staff of you company situated at salt lake, kolkata for his unprofessional attitude and for playing with customers sufferings and mental agony and let me know about your action or else i shall have to approach court of law for deficiency of service of your company.
          And please send your staff to my place for repairing my furniture within tuesday without fail.

            This is to bring to your notice the blatant dishonesty and consumer mockery being done by the durian new delhi office.

            Our sofa set developed cracks and was torn at the seats. Note that the same sofa set had been earlier repaired by the durian delhi center. This time we were told that since the 5 year warranty had expired we would have to pay for the repairs. We agreed and mr sp agarwal sent us a letter with the leatherette material which would be used to change the 3 seats on the sofa. We selected p-01 and agreed for the 11, 000 cost which was quoted on the pretext of changing the 3 seats. (See attachment 1)

            On 13/07/2016, the sofa was collected from our premise (See attachment 2) and 50% of the amount i. E. 5500 was collected from us as advance payment.

            Today, i. E. 20/7/2016 the repaired sofa was delivered. To our surprise! There had been no change of the seat material. The torn part was stretched and resewed giving the sofa a weird look.

            When i asked about the bill to show the final amount and the work done, the answer that i got is that there is no bill for repairs! Can you believe that!

            When i called mr aggarwal, he was adamant that the seats have been changed.

            I took pictures of the dust and debris in the folds of the seats to show him that he is lying. After that he changed his story and said that the cushions under the seat have been changed. This is blatant dishonestly and unacceptable behavior from a company of your repute. We have 8 sofas from durian for our home and office and i am extremely disappointed with the treatment that the consumers are getting from a brand like you.

            It is a clear case of cheating the customer and telling lies about the work done. This is just unethical business practice and i hope someone would be able to look into the matter soon and refund our money for the disgusting service and harassment being meted out to us.

              It's cushion and back rest cover has been torn off. since the day of its purchase it hasn't been used even once but it's condition is as if it is years old. the dealer said it can be mended but requires monetary input. if the chair is still under warranty then why am i required to pay and that too for some low grade material used in the manufacture. it's the first time such a thing has happened and the response from the dealer is not satisfactory at all. i'm sending a photograph of the concerned chair so that you may see it yourself.

                We own a durian sofa cum bed which has been damaged . We think that the spring inside is broken . The sofa has gone inside from the middle . We are not able to sit on it as it's very uneasy . And it's getting damaged day by day . And also we are facing problems beacause of it day by day. As there is five years warranty, we want our sofa cum bed to get repaired as soon as possible .

                  I had purchased the l shaped sofa set on 25th may 2016 which was delivered to us on 26th may 2016. Bill no: kn/ri/108/16-17 dt.25.05.2016.In delhi through your outlet at kirti nagar, new delhi. However very next day found that the sofa set was faulty. Sent the request on 31.05 asking your official to visit and get that fixed.. However till date no one had visited!!! The irony is while we got 1 year's waranty, it's pathetic that the product is faulty in the first instance..
                  Could you please ensure that either the faulty sofa gets changed immediately or we are refunded back our money towards it's purchase.In case no action is taken, we are bound to go legal..

                    Hi... I bought a sofa from durian in jan 2014. After 1.5 years, leather chipped out and since a child pulled it out, i reported and got it repaired on my own expense. However after 3 months of this incident, again another one chipped out and i complained about the quality but was simply told a quote for repair. I was told this is common issue for a sofa set which costed me almost 60k after a discount. Durian is selling poor quality of furniture at a high cost. Many a times, call to concerned people goes unanswered and they simply mention that it is outside warranty period which is claimed as 7 years but actually 1 year for repair and material cost. This is cheating the consumer.

                      I have ordered a durian wardrobe model number 56001/3 door/ balance oak color from kolkata dealer m/s modern furniture (owner mr. amritesh shroff) on 24th jan 16 and advance made of rs 12000/- out of rs 20000/-, but till dated the product is not received by me, committed date was within three weeks already 6 weeks going to over now & delivery will be arrange by me.

                      At last i have contacted their head office at mumbai they have contacted the dealer and informed me to collect refund.

                      I went to collect the refund on 07.03.16 but dealer paid me via post dated cheque of 15.03.16. and i have returned the order form no: 362 to mr. ranjit pradhan the dealer staff.

                      I told him that if within 15.03.16 you can delivered the product its ok orelse i will deposit the cheque on 15.03.16.

                      Now i want if they can delivered the same with in 15.03.16 then i will not pick up the product of my own, dealer have to provide the delivery as compensation.

                        Leather 3+3+2 sofa was purchased from durian kirti Nagar, Delhi with 5 year warranty.Leather of sofa has started showing severe damage and quality issues. Refer to enclosed some pictures. There is a leather manufacturing defect. Product is with 5 within years warranty and was purchased 3 years back. Bill enclosed below, delivered after a 1-2 month of the date mentioned. Complaint No 450947 is raised. Durian was called many times for wrinkles an deteriorating quality. Reliability and good quality claimed by Durian is a big question mark. Despite the product being in warranty and manufacturing defect of leather Durian representative expects customer to pay for the low quality leather, transportation etc. Moreover he is not interested to provide proper colours for replacement. Wondering is that what brand Durian Stands for ? Also is that what Durian claims to be a Trusted Brand ? They also claim to have High quality product, Is that what the quality is ?                           I had bought two queen size bed from durian and have found that there is manufacturing issue with them. I have followed up with customer care but really found a very painful and disappointing response from the durian customer care. It;s almost couple of months but did not find there technician turn up to check the issue also. There after sale service is pathetic. Anybody reading this review will recommend not to buy furniture from durain.

                            We purchased a bed and sofa cum bed from durian in aug 2013 through Shri balaji home decors, faizabad road, lucknow. Invoice number - 280 dated 12-aug-2015 and 299 dated 17- aug-2013, After only 2 months bed given way.Instead of replacement term for failures reported with a year of purchase the bed was repaired by dealer. Now again bed given way and this time its a major failure and again dealer agreed repair charging consumables. Sofa also given was in two years. Sofa cover started peeling off. The dealer tells sine one year is over repairs would be chargeable. These costly furniture must last at least 5 years and such major failure must be replaced with new product.

                              To The concerned Iordered 2 office chairs from noida show room (a1 sector 10) by paying full cost in advance(rs 10863.00)on 18 th october 2015. I was told that since the chairs would come from other showroom, it will take 2 days for delivery. On asking after 2 days, i was asked that there is a delay ;so wait. On 24th the chairs arrive . Once the chairs packing were opened, to my surprise the hand rests and base were badly scratched, the fitting bolts and screw were rusted. Upon asking why it is so, the accompanying person said that this is how they have come from showroom . You have to accept it. I had a word with person called mr umesh dubey who was responsible for booking . The person was highly hostile and non curtious, said you have to accept the chairs as they are. I fail to understand that if have bought chairs from a highly reputed company, why i should accept defected material. The person took away the chairs and since then nobody has contacted me as to how i will get the chairs, leave apart the delay happened .                                 I had bought sofa set, table and stool from durian Noida store last year. After delivery of sofa I found that both set were different in comfort. the seat of three seater was not comfortable and its cushion was not supporting. I register the complaint at their delhi and Mumbai office and their person came and tried to fixed the problem but not able to do so. the person who had repaired the sofa also acknowledge that the problem cannot be rectified as the faulty foam is used in the sofa. further I contacted the company so many times for replacement of the sofa but no body responded. now after one and half year the fabric of the three seater is torning from different places. I baught my sofa under 5 year warranty scheme and while buying it I thaught that I am buying a branded product so I will get proper product and serviceses but now all my expectation were gone in wane and now I felt cheated by durian people.                                     Dear sir I had purchases sofa set from pune, wakad showroom of durian on 21 oct12 for rs.68150 +exchanging my old sofa. Subsequently in feb15, i had got it repaired by paying rs, 3500, for a crack in leatherette cover of one hand rest. That time too the crack had developed on its own. But on insistence that there is no warranty for leather damage, we had paid the repair charges. The complete cover was taken away by durian team for replacing the hand rest part cover & refitted later on. Subsequently we were shocked to see that the leather cover is continuously developing cracks, getting torn from stitch joints as well as peeling off from other places. This is happening only for one sofa (3 seater). Other 2 seater sofa is having no problem. Photos are attached. Such quality is not acceptable from a reputed brand like durian. Even though the replacement warranty is only for 1 month, the sofa is not expected to get damaged within 2 years. Durian wakad showroom representative is has quoted a repair cost of rs. 15000/- with a nominal discount of rs. 4000/-. Please see attached photos of the two sofa sets. The cover of only one set (3 seater) is continuously getting damaged while other set (2 seater) is fine. Why? Because the quality of leatherette used in 3 seater set is not good or or i am given a old set. I have also submitted this complaint on durian facebook page as well as to their customer support email id, but so far no positive response. Very dis satisfied customer Shekhar [protected]

                                      In july 2013 i bought their flagship leatheriite sofa set from durian furnitures. While purchasing the sofa, i was told that although the product assurance is for 5 years but it is no good that unless it is intentionally damaged, nothing can happen to the sofa for next 8 - 10 years.

                                      However, within 2 years the stitching and even the leatherette material of the sofa is pealing on its own. We made several telehphonic complaints to the durian dealer at delhi but to no avail. Ultimately, one fine day i get a call from durian delhi supplier that we have some dues pending and hence they cant attend the repair. We were shocked since we had settled all the dues when the sofa was purchased and even if there were dues how come the company didnot bother to contact us for past 2 years. Only when we contacted the company for the sofa repair, they came up with an excuse that we owe them some amount. We declined their claim and made a written complaint on their website. After couple of days of the complaint, we now got a very arrogant email saying that since 1 year warranty is over, the repair is on chargable basis and they can send the team for inspection only if we agree to pay for the repair.

                                      This is very surprising as to how the company representative can be so audacious to put terms and conditions even for inspection. I am now planning to get the sofa examined by a third party and may be i shall drag durian to consumer court since they have given us substandard material.

                                      We request all the consumers out there to reconsider their decision before choosing durian furniture.
