I booked a flight for 2nd December through EaseMyTrip under the Super 6E category, specifically paying extra for free and flexible rescheduling.
When I tried to reschedule the date to Nov 27th on the EMT website/app, the portal clearly showed:
₹0 fare difference
₹1050 convenience fee (as per airline rules)
To confirm and get the change done smoothly, I contacted EaseMyTrip customer support. What followed was extremely disappointing:
Two agents said I would get a call back, but no one called.
The third agent I spoke to was rude, irritated at basic questions, and quoted a completely different amount — ₹7850 for rescheduling.
When I asked him to transfer the call to another agent, he refused, said he would disconnect, and told me to call again.
After I called again and filed a complaint about the rude agent, the next executive also quoted the same inflated ₹7850, saying the website/app shows the wrong price, and that their pricing is “correct”.
This is completely unacceptable.
I paid extra for flexibility, but EaseMyTrip is:
Quoting incorrect, inflated charges
Blaming their own portal for “wrong prices”
Providing unprofessional and rude customer service
Making rescheduling extremely inconvenient
I request strict action, correction of the rescheduling fee as shown on the portal, and proper accountability for the agent misconduct.
