eBay India — Delivering duplicate/used items and evading taxes | |||||
Ordered on ebay.in two items against PaisaPay ID [protected] a) 16 GB Sandisk SDHC Ultra card. Delivered in its original packing along with an invoice and I was satisfied. b) 2X8 GB SanDisk SDHC Ultra card. Delivered as loose items without its original packing which also contains the warranty on the reverse. No invoice was provided. It raised a doubt that the item may be a duplicate or used item. Raised a Guarantee claim. Claim Id : 1732517. A Ebay representative called and I explained to him the reason for my complaint against S.No (b) above. He refused to understand and kept harping that once the item is delivered I should take it up with the dealer. I explained to him that my dealing was Ebay and hence I am contacting Ebay. It is for Ebay to contact their sub dealer. I have not heard anything from Ebay India after that. This is Ebay way of cheating customers. Was this information helpful? | |||||

My experience so far with other online services like Snapdeal, pepperfry etc. I have had similar experience but they gracefully arrange for immediate replacement or refund without any question asked but with ebay so much of time and effort wasted for a petty item. Ebay should know that some people do not like to be cheated. Others just forget it not knowing what to do.
Anyway this incident with Ebay has left a bad taste and one should be very wary of purchasing expensive and major items from them
