[Resolved] eBay India — refund against a cancelled order by ebay india seller | |
After having had experience for the past few months with ecommerce sites in india, i seriously think the government need to regulate their operations otherwise it may lead to millions of rupees being unscrupulously swallowed by them of naïve customers. It is very few who go to the last mile to fight for their due amounts. I placed an order for a samsung 21" monitor for rs. 8099 and paid for it on 22nd. September 2017 and the seller immediately realised that the order could not be serviced to my pincode based on his terms of delivery with ebay india. But he deliberately delayed the cancellation until 28th. September 2017. Based on the cancellation ebay processed my refund on 29th. September 2017 and until today i. E. 11th. October 2017, i have not received my refund. Mind you i paid the amount on 22nd. Sept and it is almost three weeks and i still do not have my refund. I have been a customer of ebay worldwide and amazon worldwide but i have never faced refund issues if there was a problem with delivery or doa or wrong item being sent. It appears that ecommerce companies are being driven to the wall as they cannot manage their cash flow due t very high competition and so make up by withholding genuine refunds to show better cash flow by earning interest on customer's hard earned money. The government should put an end to such unethical, unprofessional and immoral business practices so as to relieve the pain and suffering of customers who most of them belong to the middle class category. It is a shame that reputed international brands like ebay which have very high standard of business principles, their name is being tarnished by unscrupulous business practices of ebay india. I received an e-mail quite a few months ago from ebay that ebay international sold of their business in india to flipkart but i am not sure why ebay is allowing them to use their brand name and allowing it to be tarnished like this. It is understandable that being now a part of flipkart they may be using unethical, unprofessional business principles. I hope good sense will prevail and ebay india will refund the amount immediately. Immediately Was this information helpful? | |
Oct 18, 2017 Complaint marked as Resolved No steps were taken by the company to refund my amount. They were deliberately holding it back. I sent a complaint to Prime Minister's office regarding ebay india's operations. I sent a copy of my e-mail to PMO's office to ebay india, then within two hours I received my refund into my bank account. eBay.in customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
