Today, I arranged for a service visit for my Faber chimney. During the inspection, the technician informed me that both the filter knobs were broken and that the filter assembly needs to be replaced with a spare part.
I would like to clearly state that I have never handled, removed, or tampered with the chimney filters since the day I purchased the product. I have maintained a valid AMC every year, and all servicing and maintenance have been carried out exclusively by Faber technicians.
Since only authorized Faber service personnel have been handling the chimney throughout its service life, any damage to the filter knobs could not have been caused by me. It is possible that the damage occurred during a previous service visit. Therefore, I cannot be held responsible for this issue or asked to bear the cost of replacing the damaged parts.
I spoke with the store manager and explained the situation. However, he insisted that I pay for the spare part replacement. I respectfully disagree with this decision, as I have not caused any damage to the chimney. If the damage occurred during servicing, the responsibility lies solely with the servicing personnel who handled the product.
I request that Faber thoroughly investigate the matter and replace the damaged filter/spare parts without any charge to me. I have been maintaining the product through annual AMC contracts precisely to ensure proper servicing and avoid such issues.
I look forward to a fair resolution of this complaint at the earliest. Was this information helpful? |
