This complaint is in reference to my Faber Arco Sil-k 60 BK; S.no. G[protected] purchase date:[protected].
The severity of the situation has compelled me to write this complaint. The product, in 3 years since its installation, has had the same issue multiple times and each time there has been assurance of permanency in repair.
The events are as follows:
March, 2017 : PCB not working properly. Technician was called and the same was changed under the warranty period.
August, 2017: The problem recurred and the part was again changed, post warranty period, and Rs. 3, 000 were incurred for the same.
September, 2018 : The problem recurred for the third time and another Rs. 1550 were incurred on the same.
July, 2019: For the fourth time, The PCB having trouble.
The issue isn’t just the recurring problem with the part in question; the customer service, the way the problem has been dealt at each step along with the time taken for the shipment and further change of parts has been exhausting.
The product, bought with assurance and confidence, being an integral part of a kitchen system, has been a task to maintain and that isn’t the kind of service one signs up for. Moreover, numerous attempts at contacting the same have been made and no proper follow- up has been done. It left us with no choice but to approach various mediums and aware others as well as the company about the difficulty we have faced. One does not buy such a branded, esteemed and expensive chimney (Rs 17, 300) only to suffer such problems
The PCB, being one of the most important functioning parts of the product, having an expensive cost, takes a lot of time to be transported and causes inconvenience to the customer of the same. Spending an additional Rs. 5, 000 on the product of such quality comes as a burden more than a privilege and quick fixing of the same is demanded.
Lifetime warranty seems like mere words when such recurring issues are constantly being faced.
Various consumer platforms have been approached for the same.

Purchased on 31st March 2016.
4th time same problem within 3 years of purchasing a Faber Chimney.
Within a year on 10th March 2017, The PCB was changed. The fan was working but the lights were blinking on the display.
This was done under warranty. but same problem of PCB again in Aug 2017. paid Rs 3000 this time.
Sept 2018-the same PCB problem again. Rs 1550 charged this time.
July 2019-the same PCB problem.
Either they put faulty parts or their quality is really bad. The most important component without which the chimney will not work, is very weak that needs to be replaced every 8 to 10 months.
Invested Rs 4550 plus 1 AMC plus servicing costs within 3 years.
What is the lifetime warranty of Faber if the most basic component is useless in its functioning
Not ready to spend a penny more on the PCB. will approach consumer forum if required.
