Fabhotels — confirmed booking, but refused room, saying fully booked

On aug 23rd booked for 2 nights at fabhotels k square, chennai for aug 28-30 and prepaid in full and received confirmation by email. When arriving at the hotel on the 28th, reception told me that there is no room, fully booked. After calling fabhotel customer hotline (Spent more than 2 hours to reach them over phone), they informed that they will refund in 5 to 7 days, but no email confirmation for that. Sent many reminders and no response. Until now, no payment or email received.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

We would like to inform you that refund of amount INR 3768/- has already been initiated and the normal TAT for the same is 5-7 working days. Please be informed that due to extended weekend, we are yet to receive a refund transaction ID from the bank. As soon as we receive the same, we will revert via email. We solicit your co-operation in the interim.
