Fedex — Fraudulent Custom Clearance charges

Already mailed the following communication to fedex on [protected]@fedex.com but received no reply. Lodging a complaint here and hoping for a prompt resolution

This is in reference to invoice DEL-C-693335. I'm writing to you to reverse the unfounded charges that I was made to pay at the time of delivery as well as compensate me for the delay in delivery.

I received my import item (AWB[protected] on 29th january after a delay of 15 days. The shipment was supposed to reach me on 14th January. Being an 'International Priority' package, I expected much better service from Fedex.

There were several unexplainable delays from Fedex's side time and again and the clearance SPOC designated to me (Kavita Singh) was both impolite and unresponsive. I have a list of all such instances of delays by Kavita and would be happy to detail them if you so require. My calls to her would go unanswered for days and only after several calls to customer care was I able to get a brief and info-lacking response from her; the other agent - Afsana Parvin was marked on all communications but never bothered to reply or intervene. I'm deeply appalled by the lack o[censored]rgency displayed by your team on a priority shipment.

Additionally, I was provided a bill of INR 9948 today on delivery of my item which I paid in full. However, the amount is wrong on 2 counts.

First, there's a fine of 1000 Rs charged - this is a fraudulent charge not authorized by customs. I've rechecked on the customs site that the total charges applicable to my order are Rs 7933. Second, there were charges for both Duty Advancement and Warehousing (+GST)- At no point I was informed of any duty advancement fee and this should be part of the prepaid shipment cost. I would have self-cleared my item if I was made aware of this by Fedex. The warehousing fee is inappropriate as all the delays were at Fedex's end. Please note that the shipment supposed to be delivered at my residence on 14th Jan only reached India on 15th jan in the first place and took another 2 weeks from landing to get to me.

I'm therefore writing to you to reverse the aforesaid fraudulent and unfounded charges, amounting to Rs 2, 015 (inclusive of GST) as well as pay me compensation of Rs 10, 000 for the overall harassment, unwarranted delay and rude behavior of your team. You can pay me via UPI - i've shared my UPI ID over email.

It's my request that, unlike your clearance team, you treat this on utmost priority and take immediate resolution steps.
