Updated by Cherylv275 14 days have passed since this package was shipped from the point of origin and it it is still stuck in delhi since aug 22.
There has been no further update to the online status and neither have the fedex agents contacted about any pending document on my part. Someone reads these complaints and asks for name and contact number, posts a generic reply and then disappears altogether.
They have not even started the clearance process on the package even though it has been available for clearance at delhi customs since aug 22. The package is just lying somewhere and fedex seem least concerned. I can't understand what is going on.
Fedex have simply put down the reason for delay as:

A specialized form/statement is required for clearance from recipient.
Recommended action:
Please call fedex customer service.
But when you call their customer service and enquire around this the fedex agents are clueless and just say they have attached all the kyc documents sent across to them and nothing has been communicated to them about a missing document.
There appears to be no active follow on the part of the fedex customer service agents. They only seem to repeat that the matter has been forwarded to the concerned team and they will respond to the customer shortly. After which there is silence and zero accountability.
They least they can do is contact the delhi customs and seek clarification on what is missing.
God alone knows how fedex secured a licence to run their business in india. Absolute nightmare to use them as a courier.
Fedex India's services is more like a bad joke and going by there track record here it seems most of their customers face this harassment. I would advise anyone to never ship with them even if were the only choice.
A package shipped on Aug 18 from its point of origin is still in transit 12 days later!
