[Resolved]  Fedex — Unable to get package

My friend from usa a personal user is sending a package from us to india in kolkata to me who also is a personal user. Tracking number[protected]. Fedex asked me for kyc form and self declaration. It was submited on time. Now the package is sitting in delhi for 2 days without any further progress when it was supposed to be sent to kolkata. West bengal.

I was worried so i contacted fedex today. Note they did not contact me nor said anything. After contacting them today they suddenly tell me i need to give them vat form 50 inter state transit form,

So i looked up the form and the rules apparently thats applicable for domestic shipments only. For international shipments custom duty is applicable not a form 50. The value of the goods and items are mentioned on the package it has food in it and 1 electronic item. I even sent them the form 50 (Blank non filled) which has spots in them for address of the sender and which state he is from because form 50 only applies for domestic shipments not international.

Now the package is stuck in delhi with no update at all and they gave me a deadline till 16th may after which package probably goes back or something. Even if i wanted to fill up the form 50 i cant because everything in there is state based including vat and cst and tin which i do not own and the person that is sending it from usa does not have.

I told them that i have gotten fedex shipments like last month from outside india and i did not need form 50 because form 50 is only applicable for domestic shipments and not international

Am experiencing exact same issue with a package shipped to my friend in Kolkata. Tracking #[protected]. It has been 7 days since package was shipped and 48 hrs since KYC documents provided, the package is simply stagnant sitting at some Delhi local facility. How the package moved from Kolkata (final destination) on 7th May 11 pm to Delhi now is in itself a big mystery. Port of entry and processing for package from USA destined for Kolkata should stay and be processed in Kolkata itself. I have sent multiple emails to FedEx India help desk, zero response and movement in package.
