Fenesta — Price increased after placed order without notice

I had placed an order for Fenesta windows on the 5th of September 2020, 5 months in advance at the time of the pandemic with the surety that my discount rate will be fixed. After the discount, my order value was Rs.7, 89, 395 for which I paid Rs.70, 000 in advance.

As home construction was nearing completion I had placed an additional order on the 9th Feb 2021 which was amounting to 10, 16, 639 at the same discount and at the same price of the material as above.

I had requested final measurements well in advance within the stipulated timeframe of the agreement, however, the Fenesta dealer Siyona Decors delayed taking the measurements due to the unavailability of their technical person.

On the 19th of March, the executive Perumalraj from Siyona decors tells me that their technician is not available for measurements. However, he will come to the site for checking if the order of the windows is as per my requirement even though the final requirement was already given on the 9th of Feb.

At the time of the visit to the executive Peumalraj on 19th March, I made minor revisions for 3 windows out of 44 windows.

On the same day, I receive an invoice where every window price was increased by 8% without any prior notice of the price change.

I reached out to Mr.Harish the dealer of Siyona Decors Fenesta and Mr.Abdul deputy manager. And here's what they said, the company decided to change the price overnight without informing the customers who placed the order well in advance and there's nothing that we can do about it.

My request to them was either refund my booking amount with interest or initiate the order at the price agreed on the 9th of Feb 2021.

My advice to anyone who is planning on getting your windows from Fenesta is DON'T, they will lure you in by giving you attractive prices and discounts, and then at the time of placing the order, they will create delays and increase the price of the material without any prior notice. They will scam your hard-earned money through highly unethical and unprofessional business practices.

If this issue does not get resolved I will file a complaint against Mr.Harish and Mr.Perumalraj from Siyona Decors at consumer court for providing misleading information to secure the sale and creating delays resulting in the hike of price without prior notice.
