Hi,
I placed an order (OD[protected] for an office chair on Flipkart on Dec 16th.
However, I decided to cancel it on Dec 18th due to changes in my work situation.
To my surprise Flipkart had taken off the order cancellation option from the order. I further reached out to their customer service to get the order cancelled but all they offered was an illogical excuse saying the seller for the product does not want orders to be cancelled after 24 hours.
However, the Flipkart executive mentioned on the call that I can refuse the product when the logistics team calls me for delivery of the product and that I will receive the whole Rs. 8055 refunded in my account at that point, after wasting time and energy meanwhile.
However, another Flipkart executive called me later and informed that they will not allow cancellation now and apparently as a bonus, will not even allow return for this product. So customer should not expect to get their money back and feel free to live with an undesired product. He also asked me to go and find a tiny line of statement they have written on their website, to justify the same.
It is quite surprising as the order was not even packaged or shipped. Any major ethical e-commerce player allows order cancellations before shipping.
However it seems Flipkart is lacking heavily there and forcing products on the customers.
Please help me with the issue and direct Flipkart to operate in an ethical manner with customer centric policies, where customer can expect to get his/her money back from Flipkart's pocket.

Updated by abhi0808 Seller is selling the same chair at a price of Rs. 6, 250 to general retail public whereas Flipkart which gets the same product at possibly lesser wholesale price shows the original price as Rs. 9, 750 and after showing fake discount sells it at Rs. 8055.

Flipkart is cheating customers in broad day light. I will keep on digging price rigging being done on Flipkart platform for each and every product and keep on exposing it.

Seller website says chair can easily bear weight upto "50 kg". Seriously Flipkart? Are executives supposed to lose their weight and weigh less than 50 kgs to qualify for enjoying your forced product?
Is that the secret sauce behind not canceling or returning the product once money has been made?
