[Resolved]  Flipkart — delay in delivery of midea air conditioner

I bought this ac on 29, delivery was promised by 4th may. It was delivered on 7th; that too only after i made at least 20 calls to flipkart and the concerned courier service. Now, people who came for installation found that there was a leakage in the outdoor unit. And now i am stuck with that. The technician whose mobile number the midea sent saying he would visit within a day had his cellphone turned off. For three days i tried calling him. Instead of 12 hours, he came after 72 hour on 11th. I have been now told by flipkar to wait till 28th of this month for the replacement.
So, i have a month to wait out before i get a replacement! Do you think you should wait for a month to get the ac you have paid for in advance?
That the outdoor unit had a leakage problem was not my mistake. So, can flipkart tell me why should i suffer for a mistake that one of its sellers made? Now, i have to leave for my native place on 20th of this month. I have my tickets booked. Flipkart won't give refund or accelerate the replacement process. I should now have my ticket canceled for flipkart to deliver the replacement unit. This is the price i have to pay for the mistake of buying an ac from flipkart.
Ironically, it is the ease of delivery that flipkart has made its selling point in recent ads. I don't know what to do.
You may have to spend some extra bucks to buy from a local store but it will give you peace of mind and you will not have to suffer the way i am suffering. Once you pay for an item, the company hangs you out to dry.
Beware! Learn from my experience, stop buying large appliances from flipkart until the company changes its return policy and replaces an item on a priority basis.
The flipkart team sent me a message on 14 saying product will be picked up for replacement by 22 may. And the replacement will be sent within 1 business day of the product. The product was picked up on 18. But the flipkart people even do not know that the product was picked up. There seem to be no coordination between flipkart, its courier partner and the installation team jeeves. First jeeves said only the outdoor unit will be changed and left the indoor unit hanging. When they came to pick up, they said they wanted both and did not pick up teh product as installation was incomplete. I called jeeves again and on next day, they came and picked up the product and then the product was picked up in 18th. I am attaching the message sent by flipkart and the update on pick up. Despite the message, they have not as yet sent the replacement.
