[Resolved]  Flipkart — flipkart phone exchange offer

What is the point of adding an "exchange" option to a phone purchase if you are rejecting a good phone? The xiaomi note 5 pro to be exchanged with the ordered vivo z1 pro was in a perfectly good condition. The reason for rejecting it was: screen guard had a small scratch, the screen guard which we purchased and put on the phone because it wasn't provided with the phone, next you'll be asking for earphones that didn't come with the phone. After the phone passed all the required checks you still find a silly reason to reject it.

When i spoke to their customer service executive i was led to believe that they would resolve the issue but what they did was update the status to "as per your request the seller has cancelled this product" and then when i communicated via chat they told me refund is on the way and also that they'll resolve the issue. How was that going to happen when you already cancelled the order? At the end i received a mail which said, "the seller will not be able to ship the item from this order as it has been cancelled".

Furthermore, when they reject the phone they will update their own reasons. I didn't cancel the phone you guys did stop spoiling the online shopping experience for us.

Has flipkart taken to scamming people now? Pay the money to get the phone because we rejected the phone you want to exchange, is that the new mantra? Scrap the exchange option if you can't afford it.

I went through the reviews and found similar reviews on flipkart. Why spoil a good thing by providing such poor service. Added my own review to let people know what's happening. Given up on flipkart.
