[Resolved] Flipkart — Fraud Offer - False Claim of Free AC Installation | |||||
I got this AC (Order ID: OD[protected] delivered on March 25, 2017. A Whirlpool executive called up to share that they will charge Rs. 1500 regardless of the offer that Flipkart has. I checked up with Flipkart Customer Support immediately to confirm and the executive said that I do not have to pay them. In fact, he went to the extent to suggest that I call up Whirlpool people, get the AC installed by them and then deal later (how stupid!). However, he later said that someone from Flipkart or Whirlpool will definitely visit me to install it. I later received a SMS from Flipkart on March 28 which said that my request for installation has been cancelled. I called Flipkart Customer Support immediately and they said that they cannot see any such message sent and that my request is still pending. I was told to wait until March 31 now which I did. Now I called them on March 31 to confirm if someone was visiting me to which the executive said someone from Flipkart had called up a day before and I could not pick the call, so we have rescheduled installation. This time I was told to wait for 24 hours until April 1. When I called up 23 hours 45 mins later with only 15 mins to spare in 24 hours, the executive had the confidence to say that there are still 15 mins and we are working on your request. I called up 1.5 hours later and this time the executive said your installation request was cancelled long back on March 28 and we are now logging a new request, so please wait further. Long story short - I never thought Flipkart could swindle customers this way in the name of offers and false commitments. I am now getting the AC installed from my end, paying extra Rs. 1500 to Whirlpool people. Have lost trust in Flipkart. This is probably my last order with this e-commerce platform.
