[Resolved]  Flipkart — micromax 40" led tv

Order id - od[protected] product - micromax 40t2820fhd 40 inches led tv. The product was sold on first big billion day sale in oct'14 which had a warranty of 1 + 2 years extended warranty but flipkart did not mentioned anywhere to get extended warranty we need to call micromax (Brand) for extended warranty registration within 30 days of purchase. Now micromax says there is no extended warranty due no extended warranty. Also micromax technician came for installation too did not informed me about it. Now my tv backlit issue for which there is no visual micromax is asking for approx 7000 to fix. Even being in warranty i am not getting it due to both flipkart and also micromax. Need help to get this sorted by either if them or by both so that i do not need to pay

Interacted with the customer, as per the brand terms and condition customer have to visit the brand website portal and need to registered the extended warranty with in one month from the date of purchase.

There was no interaction with Flipkart (you) after I raised this complaint. But prior to it your customer support informed me about the same information about registering the warranty within one month of purchase.

So, let me answer to your question now

First of all in Flipkart product page this information of how to do extended warranty registration was not mentioned. I can't proof for my product page as no details is showing there but i checked currently available Micromax TVs in Flipkart and it is evident that the details of extended warranty registration was not mentioned there as well which proves the fault from Flipkart and this was proved to your Facebook support personnel too

Secondly I somehow tried to manage with Micromax and they said if the product was actually under 1 + 2 year warranty program they will support but when I mentioned them my purchase date and year they said during that time they did not have such offer with Flipkart and It should be Flipkart's warranty and not Brand Warranty.

So, how can you justify this now. Brand is saying there was no offer at that time but Flipkart offered it in their website for that brand

Now It's Flipkart who should fix this either by Brand or by it's own service department / third party

Since I have not got any update from you for last 2 weeks I assume you are not providing any resolution to my case or giving priority of it. Hence I would wait till 28th Sep 2017 for your response post which I would report this to Consumer Court to file a charge back claim to get the refund for the whole amount paid against the product for the fraud committed by you
