Godrej Appliances — Top Load washing machine

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this with extreme dissatisfaction and frustration regarding the appalling level of service I have received for my washing machine repair request.

I had raised a service request from my registered number [protected] vide request no. 80758275 on 10 Jun 26 from Pune. The request was for following issues
1. Leakage in the washing Machine.
2. Washing machine only functions when there is negligible load and does not function with even half of its capacity.

The technician visited next day and both the problems were reported to him.

1. For leakage, he asked to change a pipe for which he claimed Rs 300 initially and then took Rs 500 saying it was a confusion. He did not have any authorized rate list.

2. For second issue, he completely dismissed the issue saying " Towel nhi daalna hai madam". I did not find this claim from the company in usage instruction that towel cannot be washed in the washing machine.

3. He then manually increased water level and said " Machine ghoom raha hai to sahi hai" in spite of me repeatedly telling him that it does not function when a little load is increased. He just took his service charges of Rs 550 and gone.

Nothing was resolved by his visit and then i again booked a complaint vide service request number 81324086 dated 30 June 2026 which was closed after 3 days without attending to it.

I again booked a complaint vide81574777 on 09 July 2026 by calling and narrating everything to customer care. The complaint was attended by the same person as before.

1. I asked him to check the motor, the belt and every inside component. Neither did he know how to check motor, nor he had any equipment regarding that.
2. He said belt is worn off. If the belt was worn off, what did he check in his previous visit.
3. I weighed the load on the weighing machine to be less than 4 Kg(my machine is 6.2 Kg top load), still the machine was not working. He said "6 Kg pani ke saath hona chahiye".
4. He did not resolve any issue and again returned with indefinite time that whenever the belt will come i will change it.

The inefficiency of the authorized service technician of the company has wasted a consumers time in addition to the frustration and inconvenience that it has caused.
1. The company need to resolve my washing machine issue on priority.
2. The balancing, calibration and other evaluating equipment needs to be there with the technician so that the machine can be checked thoroughly. Layman checking not to be resorted to by the technicians.
3. When i complained about the technician and his inefficiency to the customer care, still the same person was sent again. Request not to send the same person who does not understand anything.
4. Authorized spare list with rates needs to be available with service providers.
