Unethical/mal practices being followed by Godrej project Green Estate, which are Non Compliant on RERA compliances.
In the name of Discount of Rs 299/square Meter (timely payment), Godrej has recovered 20% of the total cost of the unit from me without the BBA registration.
Godrej has now given me a deadline of 18th Feb'23 for 3rd demand of 20%, this too without getting the BBA registered at the Sonipat Registrar Office, warning me to charge interest rates of 2% over and above the SBI MCLR (if the demand is not paid on time).
As per RERA compliances, the builder cannot ask for more than 10 percent of the total cost of the residential unit as the earnest money deposit. Both the builder and the homebuyer are liable to register this document legally so that it is binding.
In my case, 20% has already been recovered from me without registered BBA and another 20% is being demanded without getting the BBA registered.
Godrej office bearers are not responding to my mails. They are sending me demands one after the other and warning me over the calls that interest rates of 2% will be charged over and above the SBI MCLR (as on date). Was this information helpful? |
