Respected Sir/Ma’am,
I attach the invoice as proof of my purchase of a 2 ton inverter air conditioner (O General Fujitsu) from Great Eastern Retail on Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata, West Bengal.
The sales person authorized to represent O General at Great Eastern Retail supplied me the cellphone number of the regional sales manager and I was asked to discuss all matters related to delivery. Well, the number wasn’t that of the current sales manager of O General.
The phone number belongs to a gentleman who is not working at O General for quite sometime. But he was most considerate and helpful. He gave me Mr. Rajib Das’s cellphone number.
Here I need to acquaint you about some facts - I had requested both Mr. Das and O General’ representative to please accommodate me to the extent that since I am remodeling my place, could the air conditioner be kept at Great Eastern Retail’s warehouse for some time? The only reason being - - -
I am nose deep with the remodeling project…masonry, civil, electrical, carpentry, tile installation just to name a very few. I did not want my brand new air conditioner exposed to dust, mortar, and all the rest of it.
So yes, I did request for delivery at a later date. Now that I need delivery of the air conditioner, I have not been able to get through to anyone. Mr. Das, unfailingly rude and grouchy, told me to get in touch with the store. On calling Great Eastern, I get the answer, the person who wish to speak to is not around.” “I will ask him to call you at the earliest.
That hasn’t happened till date.
I have called and texted O General regarding the harassment and extremely abrasive behaviour of Mr. Das. Nothing much happened to righten the situation.
I General’s sales representative couldn’t be bothered to answer my calls and on one single occasion I got to speak to him, he offhandedly informed me that delivery will be made yesterday. Needless to say, I haven’t received my air conditioner nor notifications, texts, SMS, email or calls on my cellphone regarding the delivery.
The O General’s representative brusquely told me “how am I supposed to know when the delivery will be made?” Then he added “maybe around 02:00 to 03:00 pm.”
I called O General’s sales representative this morning and true to form, he did not answer nor rerun my call.
Shopping for most part is supposed to be pleasant, enjoyable experience. My experience with O General has been far from pleasant. It has been and continues to be frustrating, annoying and exhausting.
All I want to know is when will the air conditioner be delivered.
