Great Holiday Club is Fraud/False Marketing Chain all around Goa. They might not have any real office. Please read only the negative Google reviews as positive one made by their people.
My wife and I went to Goa for a couple of days and became victims of "Great Holiday Club" which has been running a false and fraudulent marketing campaign for years throughout Goa. I will explain below how it is happening.
1. They appoint hundreds of field agents with a bunch of preset false 'lucky draw' coupons.
2. Agents would target only decent couples from outside (by look) on scooty/bike (not group). Will tell you a big resort is running a promotional lucky draw just today and providing a gift.
3. First he will give a preset coupon to the Man. After tearing the coupon, nothing will come (better luck next time).
4. Second he will give a preset coupon to the Lady. After opening/tearing the coupon, there will be 5 big value gifts - A) Laptop, B) LCD TV, C) Smart Phone, D) Smart Watch and E) Holiday/Accommodation. He will make a wow expression and tell you confirmly won any one of these. There is a portion to scratch to see which she got. But he would tell, she must scratch it in the resort nearby and get the gift there. [Please note all preset coupons have 'Holiday/Accommodation' preset]
5. They caught us in the Calangute area and took us to Neelam's The Grand hotel welcomeing as if it was their property.
6. Skipping all drama, there will be a team of people who would have booked a hotel lobby and decorated them. Will tell you there will be a presentation of 1 hour and then we can scratch the coupon (they will keep the coupon with them). Now they will take more than 2 hours and a team of good speaking guys/girls will tell all lies that they have tied up with all 4/5 star hotels chains. They will insist on buying on spot their Holiday package which is 60% off only that day (!)
7. In the end after wasting 2-3 hours of your precious vacation day, when you scratch the coupon it will always be 'Holiday/Accommodation'. Now they will give a voucher of accomodation where there would be all T&C like you have to pay Rs4000 administration charges (without knowing where you will stay). Can not avail it on any holiday season/pick time/weekend.
8. If you buy their package, you are the victim. Even if you don't buy into their lies, you wasted your whole day on a vacation!
9. Later I asked at the reception of Neelam's The Grand hotel, and they told me they are not associated with it. But they know they are doing fraud. they just hired the lobby.
