The door of my Haier micro oven started malfunctioning. A complaint ( KO [protected] ) was lodged with Haier on 15.8.15. On 17.8.15 a mechanic came to inspect and promised to return with the required spare part. I enquired from Haier’s call centre on 19 and 25.8.15. I was advised to talk to the officer in charge of Haier’s Kolkata office. I phoned this man on 25.8.15 when he told me that no spare part would be available and I could forget the machine. He refused to give me anything in writing and denied that Haier has a grievance cell, which is a statutory requirement.
I had to buy a new micro oven on 25.8.15.
On 27.8.15 I was informed by the Kolkata service agents of Haier that the spare part had been procured. The part was fitted by the agents on 30.8.15 and the machine was made operational.
I am now saddled with `a new but unwanted micro oven. This huge financial loss and inconvenience has been caused by Haier’s lack of service and the bluff by the company’s officer in charge in Kolkata .I phoned this man on 31.8.15 and told him of the loss and inconvenience his disservice and bluff caused me. Rudely he replied that he did not have the time for such nonsense and banged the phone off. Probably he was using the time to misbehave with and bluff other customers.
So, the prospective customers of Haier BEWARE and keeo a safe distance to save your own skin.
