HDFC Bank Customer Care's response
Dear Customer,

We wish to inform you that all HDFC Bank Credit card customers who were regular in their payments on or before 01 Mar 2020 and unable to make any payments from 01st Mar 2020 to 31st May 2020 will be automatically made eligible for the moratorium. Customers need not take the pain to call the Bank or send any email / SMS confirmations to the Bank to avail moratorium on Credit Card dues. Credit card customers with Autopay option active for payments can use NetBanking/MobileBanking to switch off their Autopay Instruction. Your EMIs if any, on your credit card will be automatically deferred to Jun'20 onwards. Post the moratorium period, your Autopay will be automatically enabled / reinstated by us so that your scheduled payments are back on track. You have complete discretion to either take advantage of the moratorium or to continue with your scheduled payments. Your credit card statement / Insta Jumbo Loan statement, will carry the total amount due and on non payment of the due, the customer would be deemed to have availed of the moratorium benefit. However we wish to advice that you continue to pay your dues in order to avoid interest charges. Hence the choice to avail the moratorium is purely voluntary with applicable interest charges. Minimum card dues along with accrued interest during the moratorium will be liable for payments post the moratorium period.
