WORST BANK EXPERIENCE EVER! WORST TIME FOR OPENING AN ACCOUNT.
So, I went to my local HDFC branch to open a savings account on 14/7/2019. Received an email of "Smart account rejection" and I knew something was not right. But still, proceed to open the account. Two of the bank employees visited my home for address verification. I got my welcome kit. They told me I will receive my welcome letter within a week or two. But I didn't receive anything.
I visited the branch again after a month and they said they have looked into it and I will receive my welcome letter soon. Got nothing. I visited my bank again and again I didn't know what to do anymore? So I left it at that because I was so frustrated with all this.
On 12/3/2020 I get this email:
[Subject: Non-operational status in account no. XX2018 since 11 JUL 2019
Dear Customer,
We miss you! We realised that since 11 JUL 2019, you have not made any transactions on the above account.
We would like to have you back & enjoy the services of your account by reactivating it. You can do so by making a withdrawal or deposit in your account. For any further assistance, please contact your HDFC Bank Branch Manager.]
Then, I received 2 more emails which I have attached the photos of screenshots on 1 August 2020 and on 14 September 2020.
What do I do? The bank is not even serious about my issue. And it got proved when I visited the bank after the lockdown ended and the employee says to my face that they have not seen me in the bank even once.
This is your service??? I mean what kind of service you are providing to your customers if you can not properly handle their problems and solve them but talk like this?? Their employees again visited my home for address verification but nothing I got from all this.
Last I visited the bank again in June 2021 to tell them that if I can not use my account them please close it. The manager said that my account was blocked for 2 years because I didn't receive the welcome letter and I don't have words to describe why this has become this big issue? They said they will unblock my account, only then they can take any kind of action. They sent another employee to my home again to confirm my address and said I will receive the welcome letter soon.
It's 10 September 2021 today and I have not received anything or any email from the bank regarding this.
My father's account is in the same bank and it's working fine. So, I don't know why I have been troubled with all this. I am so frustrated.
We open bank saving accounts because of our needs. So kindly, please look into my issue and resolve it.
